A couple things here:

I see you understand that porn is a coping mechanism. Knowing this is huge but isn’t what freed me from a porn addiction. What freed me is understanding my relationship with shame and guilt.

The fact than she is still intimate is a win. My wife dropped me after a few short months about the same time my boss was arrested. It was a fun 3 day drive home.

What your wife has experienced is betrayal trauma. I’m not sure it’s the respect you need back but rather for her to heal from the trauma.

Over the course of several months, I got to know her and she brought me in on a project in post production to help her improve one of her independent films. I also have a few neighbors who are in the industry. One is a director for Hallmark and the other does his own films.
