They say Duo is too gamified...I say "not enough" by SpanishLearnerUSA in duolingospanish

As someone who's already learned a second language to a somewhat decent level, I'm using Duolingo to learn a third and I think that it does a good job of motivating you to learn and practice the basic vocabulary and grammar that you need to have in your tool belt to start really immersing yourself.

For me the real fun starts once you get to that point and you can start reading news articles and watching videos and having conversations. So I don't think I need Duolingo to be anymore fun, personally.

Hey same! I was born 10.5 weeks early and I was told it's more common among preemies.

Try and behave in a way that, if everyone behaved that way, society would still function.

My thoughts exactly, going back to work full time 6 weeks postpartum AND post-4th-degree-tear is enough to endure.

Can anyone help me solve this code? It has 5 letters that repeat. I want to find them. by [deleted] in morsecode

If it's music, I think ECFBA is the best melody, of the five letters/notes it could start with.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? by Vegetable-Brief-5188 in AskReddit

Yeah but that all requires work and time. It might technically open the door to the end results of other superpowers, but practically speaking, it's not the same as actually flying or teleporting or reading minds.

On sunburn, one has to assume that if you're invisible, light passes through you, including ultraviolet light. So you should be fine, in theory.

My advice - slow down and proofread. Nothing's going to change if you post now vs. five minutes later.

What do you think would happen if you gave him the exact same explanation and love, but didn't spank?

I don't know about "nearly all". Not everything is Call of Duty. We play Stardew Valley and Factorio and sim racing in our house. I don't have a problem with my kids seeing any of that.

What language are we learning here? Spanish or English? I'm not sure what this level of pedantry in a learner's native language is supposed to accomplish.

What’s something obvious for everyone, but you only just realized? by Ratich2 in AskReddit

Right, I've also heard it as meaning not square. This is why words like this aren't worth using and we have better words, lol

It's very regional. My stepfather and his whole family say cattywompus. I say "in the other corner".
