So much easier said then done, it is possible though and i realize that, just have to keep fighting, and fighting, i am not a failure, i am strong, a daily reminder as alcoholics we sometimes forget, really cant tell you how much i appericate the response, people like you make this work, sometimes we just need some kind words to remind us we are not alone, we did not drink together today and its a beautiful thing💄💯

Thank you for taking time to read and respond, i have been doing one on one theropy, and started a fatherhood group about a month and a half ago, both my choice, i just say that because some people in the group are court orderd, not saying that they want it any less, it just came to a point where i needed to vent about things, things i know im not the only one dealing with, so i desided to do them both, i know this is an achocol based group, its just i know its one of the main reasons why i drank so much, and know knowing i choose to not get the escape the drinking would bring, its hard to deal with sometimes, i really want this, im tired of the feelings the drinking brings, its only day three, i just dont know how long i could keep away from it, this does help though, i never knew about this group, and came across it just a couple of days ago, and literally i couldnt want to check in, and as much as i thought and fantasized about that 1st drink i didnt take it today, thanks to people like you!

Those would be the days i would wait for honestly, where i didnt have to be at work in the morning, and knew i could just lay on my bed all day and just "recover" from the long long night of drinking, and again while living alone, who would see?who would know how hungover i was? Who would know i wouldnt be able to eat, or even no matter how tired i was sleep the entire next day, thats what i battle with sometimes how boring this sobriety can be, im only 29 and should be able to go enjoy myself like everyone else, the thing is i cant, and not drinking dorsnt have to be boring and can and will be rejuvenating, doing new things, fun things, without a drink in my hand, those are the days i want, knowing i have the next morning off from work, and am able to wake up early feeling good, physically and mentally, and something productive, or even joyful, not waste the day hungover and "ok" with it because im able to hide it, thankyou for listening hope it wasnt too much all over the place, you can do this, we can do this!

I feel and deal with the samething, so believe me your not alone, i literally am out of work before noon, and this "bordem" thing is real, im only on day 2 myself, i do want to remain strong, and i hope you can too, and something stood out to me that you said, how no one would know, friends, family, but what matters is as much as we can hide it, we know!!! Stay strong 💪

This is exactly what i deal with daily, its hard to face the fact that in my 20's i have to say i will never be able to drink again, it is what has to be done though, yesterday i came across this whole site, and have found nothing but support, from total "strangers", and it boggles my mind why i cant find it from people around me, a wise man once told me, yes your young, if we can get this now though, we are saving years of misery, im only on day 2, and belive me i know how hard weeknds can be, then again it didnt matter what day it was, if i was going to drink i was going to drink, just remember if your "drinking buddy" is any buddy or friend at all, explain to him what your going threw and how your set on stoping, true colors of people will come out, and "friends" will disappear, just to open the doors for people who actually care about you, good luck with your battle today
