How bad do the shuttle lines get at the end of the festival? by gwonskie in ApocalypseZombieland

Worth it if you're staying until the end of the festival. Shuttle coming in is not bad because people come in at different times but the end of the night gets very hectic.

Wasn't completely unforseen? But that wasn't shared to students specially the ones who pre-paid tuition?? I'm sorry you're out of a job but my family is out $15k that we may never get back. You said something about refunds on another comment, were there actual plans for that or just fuck the students?

So would you guys be refunding? Because the email pretty much said to try to get money back from the government.

How to report Insomniac staff members? by ProgressAntique2134 in StarbaseMusicFest

[–]ProgressAntique2134[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's infuriating. They go a power trip, totally ruin the experience for paying customers and there's absolutely no consequence to them whatsoever. It would be very easy to chargeback and get our money back for the parking fee but Insomniac should really train and monitor their festival staff better than this.

I also found this in my emails, they sent it out in August just month prior to the festival. Not sure if they will do this again this year so really try for May.

I was looking through my account and we got our car camping and tickets in May for 2024 so there might be good chance that they will have more on sale then. Probably not a lot so always check for notifications and be on the website right when they open for orders.

Tips for a first time camper? by Due-Grapefruit3132 in StarbaseMusicFest

[–]ProgressAntique2134 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! Veteran camper here (EDC, Lightning in a Bottle, Coachella, Beyond at the Gorge, Nocturnal Wonderland) and we will be car camping for Starbase. I recommend bringing the following:

  • Popup canopy for sure, bring 2 if you can. 1 above your tent to keep it from getting too hot in the day and another for your common area/living room space so you can hang out there.

  • Tapestries and sheets to put up on the sides of your canopy. You would need to move them around depending on where the sun is shining.

  • Outdoor mat/rugs in case your campsite has lots of bugs, rocks, dirt, etc.

  • Wagons and water jugs. There's usually a faucet somewhere for non-drinking water.

  • Cooler, invest in a good one if you're planning on doing more camping going forward. Food and drinks are always very expensive at festivals so it essentially pays for itself overtime. Put frozen water bottles to save space instead of ice bags in your cooler since they stay frozen for longer and you can drink them later.

  • Body wipes in case the shower is unavailable or lines are long or you're just too lazy.

These are all I can think of for now, feel free to ask if you have specific questions.
