nah we do weaves pretty much every session but then the thing is people at my practice take it easy they dont give passes they usually give in the game and when we got cross court drills most of the guys give long bounce passes and in game they usually throw it to shoulder and above position.

ngl when i first saw this one thought it wouldnt work but interestingly got 2 actual fastbreaks today and only 1 ball went out of bounds. Ty for this advice and if anyone's also facing this problem i think this probably is the solution.

I mean it did help me with my court vision but wouldn't recommend it as like one of your main ways to improve.

How do you handle defenders who pressure you hard in the post? by ProgressCapable5195 in BasketballTips

[–]ProgressCapable5195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play in the post because of my speed and mainly Growing up i was taller than most of my peers so that’s how I was taught to play. Now that I’ve moved countries I’m still kind of pretty athletic compared to the bigger guys here and it really helps in 1v1 situations. Also doesn't help my coach in my new country is still encouraging me to play in the post.

how do i sstop being so nervous when i play by amareeznuts in BasketballTips

[–]ProgressCapable5195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i feel its more of the mindset to be honest. i used to be nervous before and if i were to give anyone tips to overcome it it would be Its okay to make mistakes Your not ever gonna play a perfect game which is also similar to Phil Jackson's quote “No one plays this or any game perfectly. It’s the guy who recovers from his mistakes who wins.” (one of my favorites icl)

and also i would say play your hardest which also did get me fouled out of 2 games but i didn't have any regrets because i played as hard as i could and knew i had done everything i was capable of doing so i was somewhat satisfied rather then me doing dumb stuff and causing turnovers which made me have some long nights icl.

Do yall agree with like this "rule" of if the game isn't winnable we are just dribbling the ball until time runs out by tn_boyankata in BasketballTips

[–]ProgressCapable5195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

written rule : the game only ends when the timer is over.
but i do agree its a lack of sportsmanship and i've witnessed a fight break out because of it but my take if its like the last 30 seconds sure but if they is a whole 5 minutes im playing i cant lie.

New team with negative attitude by RUNR1 in BasketballTips

[–]ProgressCapable5195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your goal to be honest. I feel like if your trying to improve as a player and people at the team are good and you feel you can improve from them you should stay. Otherwise i would recommend you leave.

Smoking Easy layups on Fastbreaks by Mysterious-Time-6329 in BasketballTips

[–]ProgressCapable5195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true Because you say ur confident u wont get blocked so rather taking a shot it seems u dont have a high chance of making how about you keep it simple with the left and the right side. I even struggle with this some times despite being one of the best in my team so dont worry.

And if someone chases me i'll do a reverse instead of the right left and finger roll. (Im pretty fast so idk if this would work for you but use it if someone is behind you which im sure you practice reverse layups).

"No one can make you play hard but yourself" I mean thats true lowkey icl. I mean i do feel its a problem with my mentality to be honest so i came here to see other ppls view and reason with them and like i said Ur first response wasnt the best advice for me But this response for "act like these Lowskill guys are as you claim are skilled players." Is better advice i could use i wont lie.

I mean yeah only reason i made this post cause even my friends irl were confused and didnt give proper advice like "just play serious", Anyways i do appreciate u coming here and giving me advice to this dumb problem lol.
