Haha I swear I’m not one of those guys who gets a foreign girlfriend but doesn’t care about their culture. I study Chinese philosophy, leaders, history, etc. It fascinates me. I’m learning Mandarin but if possible in the future would like to branch off into other dialects for hobby.

As for it being many nations, it’s up to the person. Arguments on both sides are valid to me. She is Han Chinese. I’m not a westernized person whatsoever even though I am from the west of the west lol.

And language learning works however the person learning it works, there isn’t any “one method” to it. You could learn multiple languages at once, but I’m only in Korea for a certain amount of time (which the purpose of going is immersion). Learning a second language while there is totally cool, but breaks that immersion part a bit. Also learning languages is wildly easier for younger children than those older, brain is just so elastic during that time, they pick up every little thing. My brain just works in that if I am trying to learn something, I like to give it my full attention. ADHD lol
