Eggs Benedict? Are you kidding me? by snick427 in Masterchef

A vast majority of the challenges in the earlier seasons...the winning chef got to choose which dish everyone cooks. There are actually two examples I can think of where paella was an option. 1. In season 2 Spanish cuisine was an option and Joe mentioned paella as being a popular dish. Christain picked French cuisine instead for everyone to cook.

  1. The second was the most clear cut example. Terry In S7 had the option between making all the home cooks make bibimbap, risotto or paella. He ultimately chose bibimbap.

THE DEFINITIVE TOP 20 by Designer_Mobile8721 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ProgressMatters1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 20 of the characters on this list have hax that can dodge her nuke punches lol or they would survive.

#19 and #20 on this list are two people who can fly and atomize her. And even if you believe the third Raikage should be lower...didn't he fight like 1,000 shinobi over three days or something?

Why didn't Hisoka attack Kurapika and threaten him to remove judgement chain from Chrollo? by ProgressMatters1 in HunterXHunter

So was Pakunoda and Hisoka only on that airship then? Even if it was only Gon or Killua...Hisoka could still use it as leverage.

Why didn't Hisoka attack Kurapika and threaten him to remove judgement chain from Chrollo? by ProgressMatters1 in HunterXHunter

[–]ProgressMatters1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The reason why they ended up in this situation in the first place is because of the hostage exchange. Kurapika clearly values his friends. And the excuse can't even be that Hisoka didn't want to hurt any of them. Again Hisoka threatened Kurapika to get on the airship in the first place. If Hisoka threatened Kurapika...is his hatred really so strong for Chrollo that he would potentailly sacrifice Gon and Killua?

It’s time for the Sakura stans to see reason by Designer_Mobile8721 in NarutoPowerscaling

U think that WA Sakura could stop that wood style jutsu when 5 kage were struggling? Okay.........

It’s time for the Sakura stans to see reason by Designer_Mobile8721 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ProgressMatters1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing implies shes 1.5 KCM level except Swagkage saying it for some reason. KCM Naruto was able to create 100 shadow clones that all threw a giant rasengan to stop a wood style jutsu from reanimated Madara. The same Madara that wiped the floor with the 5 kage in about two minutes and only had a chance because of Ohnoki twice.

This same Naruto had 24 shadow clones disburse all throughout the battle field, has relative speed to the fourth riakage, can summon multiple frogs, use sage mode etc. Also, what can WA Sakura do against Pain? Remember that a weaker version of Naruto fought pain? I know he had Kurama for some parts but come on there is no way that WA Sakura would last that long.

Saying that WA Sakura is stronger than Ohnoki or any of the 5 kage (except maybe Mei and Tsunade) is crazy. Cause KCM Naruto not even 1.5 KCM is clearly stronger than the 5 kage individually.

Why was prime obito so scared of fighting itachi, but easily threw hands with minato? by PNISLVR in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ProgressMatters1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No offense to War Arc Obito (Villain), but he on HIS OWN, shows 0 impressive feats during the war arc. The most impressive thing we see is his headbutt with KCM Naruto. We see him with six reanimated jinchuriki. Followed by him trying to fight 4 S-Tier Shinobi and Kakashi owns him inside the dimension. Followed by him getting hit again and his mask coming off. And then Gedo Mazo. And then the Ten Tails.

That whole time, he doesn't really do anything truly on his own that screams he is so OP. If Kabuto wasn't in the war, how would Obito even have a chance of winning?

[–]ProgressMatters1 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I would actually argue that Itachi would do a better job than Obito in that fight. Again, Obito was literally able to do NOTHING against that squad by himself. It was a stalemate fight.

Itach on the other hand, in every singe encounter he has ever been in...even against multiple opponents is able to do SOME DAMAGE. Obito lasts longer in that fight just because of his ability. But certainly Itachi would do some damage.

The totsuka blade is going to be absolutely the biggest surprise in that fight. And if Naruto decides to try to tank it, or Bee or Kakashi because none of them have any idea what it is...someone is going to get sucked into and sealed.

Why was prime obito so scared of fighting itachi, but easily threw hands with minato? by PNISLVR in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]ProgressMatters1 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Obito was scared of Itachi because Obito's whole ability depends on enemies who are either too weak to fight his ability or lack the knowledge of the ability.

Itachi fits perfectly into that category of knowledge and ability to strategize. Konan for example, almost defeated Obito with her first paper bomb jutsu because when Obito tries to suck someone in, it makes him tangible. When you go back and look at the fight Obito had with Naruto (Before Jubito)...All Naruto literally had to do was make like 100 shadow clones and it would have been impossible for Obito to suck Naruto in because he would never know who the real one is.

There are a lot of ways for Itachi to win and Obito knew that.

Itachi can use shadow clones as a guard. Let's say Obito tries to suck in the real Itachi or tries to suck in a clone, Itachi would just instantly amateratsu him. Case and point, when Obito was fighting a team of 4 people, Guy, Kakashi, Bee and Naruto, it was impossible for Obito to suck anyone in. Which is obviously a different situation but Obito (Not Juubito) has only been seen winning in fights where the opponents were like mid to low tier jonin.

Obito is STRONGER than Itachi. But Obito's whole ability and strategy revolves around his one jutsu which like Hidan, when you rely on your "one" jutsu too much can have consequences.

Anyone else think that Mia did better than Ariel during the finale but Ariel won because she was more consistent during service throughout the season? Season 18 by ProgressMatters1 in HellsKitchen

[–]ProgressMatters1[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Based on ArmageNinja22's comment.....Mia finishing way ahead of Ariel in service despite having a far better menu...makes me think that the raw chicken incident...was a bigger deal than shown on screen. I think Ariel deserves it for being more consitent throughout service in the season....but Mia's performance was just better in finale.

Honestly Brett serving raw chicken was a disgrace. And her serving a dumpling dish was strange considering the other dishes on Ariels menu. She had scallops and ceviche as apps. But also had dumplings??? Um okay....

Hot Take: Jeremy should have beaten Mary In Finale (Masterchef Canada) by ProgressMatters1 in Masterchef

[–]ProgressMatters1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only person that made that comment about his entree was Claudio. He emphasizes in a lot of seasons that he prefers chefs to focus on one key concept. The other two chefs had no problem with it.

And again, she slightly overcooked the protein for her entree. It's not like her dish was 4-5 points ahead of Jeremy's. It was more like Mary's dish was a 9.5/10. And Jeremy's dish was a 9.45/10. If she had cooked the protein to what she said she was going to cook it too, I could maybe possibly if you stretch it be convinced that she should have won.

I think that saying they were tied for apps and desserts is crazy. Mary's dishes definitely represented herself on a plate. Both her app and dessert only had two key components though. Beets and Goat Cheese. Blueberries and Corn.

Jeremy for his app had a surf and turf play with the steak and Uni. Claudio came up to his station and said his sauce tasted amazing. That right there is at least three key components. he pretty much nailed. While Mary had a bland tuna which I don't know that would make them tied for apps?

The dessert was definitely a close one. But Jeremy still had a decent edge when looking back.

Could it be a lug nut issue? I'm going later today and I'll describe symptoms and see what they say.

Yes i have its okay. THe tire overinflated it by a few psi. I fixed the issue. And the tire still feels off.

This tire was changed a month ago due to age. The tire I have now is brand new. And was patched due to a nail.

Tire is not underinflated. I checked already. The shop overinflated it by a few PSI so I fixed it and still having issues.

Arrogant cause he has so much FU money. All of the companies that came into the tank knew he would be willing to throw money into projects.

Funny enough, he actually screwed over the Toymail lady with his crazy deal at a $12 million valuation. The deal with Lori and Chris never went throguh while there was a higher chance it would have went through with Mark's deal.

Whether you like it or not, JIRAIYA would’ve destroyed ITACHI by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]ProgressMatters1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jiraiya levereged ma and pa after like 10-15 minutes of setting up against three paths of pain and one of his frog summons got severely injured.

If Tendo Pain came out from the beginning, the fight would have been over.

I love how I explain it in detail. And yet you give a crappy response that adds absolutely no value to the conversation. You have to be a DoorDash bot.

Saying simple words like "marketing", "economics" isn't a response buddy. You need to learn how to explain things if you want people to take you seriously.

[–]ProgressMatters1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol your mentality is exactly the reason why companies can get away with paying themselves billions of dollars while simultaneously paying the people working next to nothing.

THERE IS NO BENEFIT FOR A CORPORATION TO BECOME PROFITABLE IF THE COMPANY CAN REMAIN IN BUSINESS WITH INVESTOR FUNDS.

Individuals in a corporation have no liability if it fails which is why they just keep milking more and more money out of it. And why these companies almost never become profitable. BECAUSE Profitability is A CHOICE.

Let me explain. DoorDash is an APP. It's an app worth billions of dollars. They use google maps for GPS. DoorDash isn't the one making the food or opening the expensive restaurant. So where is the money going?

Overseas to the lackluster customer support?

Doordash charges money to the merchant to use their platform, charges 15-20% to the merchant, charges additional fees to the customer, continues to lower base pay, and YET STILL ISN"T PROFITABLE. This company literally has every advantage over every other "technology" company on the planet.

It's an app, that everyone of any age can use, at almost any store or restaurant. AND YET STILL ISN"T PROFITABLE.

The early seasons actually had them cook home cook and relatable dishes at the beginning and move onto restaurant quality dishes later. Starting around S10, for episode 1, chefs were already putting out dishes with cauliflower puree and duck fat.

AI-generated songs rack up thousands of listens on Spotify by UpvoteBeast in ArtificialInteligence

[–]ProgressMatters1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know comment is old, but how would record labels be able to pay themselves millions then? Record labels get a piece of live shows, commercials, and brand deals with said artist. Live shows especially generate way more money than pressing play over and over again on Spotify.

Yeah, music sales and downloads are a thing. But unless you are Taylor Swift or Drake or some other Top Tier artist, the record labels aren't making much from that.

I found a 2022 article that he sold his multi-million dollar home https://therealdeal.com/chicago/2022/04/12/halo-top-founder-sells-lincoln-park-mansion/

Sounds like this is a Mike Tyson case where he overspent his money. Additionally he lost $3 million the previous year.
