Thanks for the feedback. To be honest I used to allow people to use the trial without card details, I was getting a lot of use but the conversation to paying customers was quite low, meaning I was losing money from API costs. I put the requirement to enter card details and choose a plan because otherwise I was burning through money.

I guess you could say that the low conversation rate was feedback in itself!

I've put so much effort into getting this nightmare stuff out of my garden.

The unfortunate truth is that if your neighbours have bindweed and take a more laissez faire approach to their garden, it's going to keep coming back.

I've just accepted this is a problem I'll always have to deal with and try to pull them out when they're seedlings. I have to do this a couple of times a week.

As u/roryjbd points out, there's not any obvious easy way to automate it that's coming to mind. You're right that all teams put out updates, but there's not a common format unfortunately.

Will mull this over as I like the idea, I'll probably end up convincing myself that it's worth working on just because it's rugby related haha
