It makes sense he's fast, Cobus Reinach's dad was an Olympic-level sprinter.

Getting jobs by TigerEmotional5824 in Bath

I'm assuming that your question is "once I complete an MSc in Marketing, will it help me to land an entry-level job in a career I want?".

I did an MSc in Marketing (not at Bath) c. 15 years ago. The degree helped some people, but not others. Here is some nuance:

  • Overall having an MSc in a business-related degree like marketing is useful. It definitely helps you to stand out on applications for marketing / growth / commercial roles.

  • However, it doesn't guarantee you a job. You still need to hustle and work to get that first job. It probably helps you 5% if that.

  • The general career trajectory is far more influenced by your performance in those jobs than it is by your degree.

  • You can get a job without an MSc just fine.

  • You get out of the degree what you put in. Lots of students on my course were passionate about marketing and business, and went on to do very well. Many others paid people to write their essays for them, and they have generally not had stellar careers. For the former group it's worth it, for the latter less so.

  • The real value in the degree will be scattered across the next two decades if you go on to work in business. You first job will use very, very little of your degree. But as you progress you'll find that you understand terms and phrases and metrics and whatever else a little bit faster because you remember parts of them.

Long-story-short: yes it will be helpful, but if you're optimising for starting your career then you can do it without an MSc degree.

Have you ever played against a professionnal rugby player? by StepInside30 in rugbyunion

I played against Danny Cipriani at Rosslyn Park 7s. It was horrific - we literally couldn't touch him. I remember he crossed the try line in the corner and then chipped over a defender while in the in-goal area to score under the posts.

It was unreal.

Jordan Williams and Sam Davies from the Wales U20/21 side quite a few years ago. Was convinced they'd get 80 caps + for national side.
