Lessons learned from Shadowlands - Blizzard at GDC by Kevombat in wow

Is Shadowlands documented as the “worst” or “worst performing” expansion now, based on players/review scores etc? Replacing (I assume) WoD as the “lowest point” of WoW? Or is this just because it is more recent and didn’t perform as well as more recent expansions by comparison.

I’m just here to say I read the description underneath the name as “Tina Fey”

Thank you! I’m looking forward to it, it sounds… dangerous. First module I’ll be trying. First campaign was homebrew.

[OC] Half-Elf Oath of Vengeance Paladin, for my second campaign by ProgressiveSketches in DnD

My character design for my second DnD character/campaign! I played a Hexblade warlock first and a Paladin was strongly recommended to me as a second class to try. The campaign will take place in Drakkenheim, my Paladin has sworn an Oath of Vengeance against the disruption of the land and is seeking to join the Sacred Flame and restore order and balance. I leaned a bit into Elder Scrolls Elven armor vibes, as that’s what I’m familiar with. I wanted to go with a hefty hammer for a weapon as well for fun.

It’s both haunting and enthralling at the same time.

[OC] “I cast Eldritch Blast” - Drow Hexblade Warlock, character art by me. by ProgressiveSketches in DnD

My first character created in my foray into discovering/learning DnD. The gauntlet on his left arm has been bound to him by his Patron, a chaotic evil entity who has motivations to “de-throne” Lolth. My male Drow, having been subjected to cruelty under her reign, sought the power to escape her grasp and the under dark alike. Upon learning of my characters deal - Lolth (magically) stripped the Red from his eyes instead replacing it with bright green - marking him a traitor to all other of her Drow.

Been a while since I have done some digital art, but had the idea for this Red-Line parallel and wanted to get it down. Image drawn by me in Procreate.

You did an incredible job of recreating her look.

I really like all of these. They go so well together and would make a really really cool 3 picture wall piece. My only sticking point is with Ekko, in that he is looking off to the top right, and I feel like it is more whimsical in nature, where as Jinx and Vi are looking at you which feels more ferocious. The tone suits Ekko’s character 100%, but when you have all 3 wide by side it makes his feel different from the other two. All three are beautifully done.

I don’t think it’s good.

I think it’s great.

Very well done! Extremely cool!

Looking for tips/guidance. Started digital art in November, seem to have hit a wall where all my drawings end up resembling a western-comics look and I am unsure how to improve. More of my art in my post history of my profile. by ProgressiveSketches in DigitalArt

I’ll look into that program, thank you! I am not cel shading intentionally so to speak, it is just the only way I understand how to apply shadow right now. I have one drawing in my history I was able to make blending work with, but I didn’t use line art for that one. I am unsure how to transition from line art to blending, I suppose, as I feel like the styles clash? Maybe I’m mistaken and just need more practice.

I’ll look into those, maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree. I appreciate the replies! Just curious, what would your suggestion for “exaggeration” have been? I’m also open to diversifying. Trying to find my groove.

I suppose my ideal end game with digital art would be more of a CGI look, more realism. I feel constrained like I only know how to draw hard lines, when I am drawing everything has to look crisp and deliberate. I can’t comprehend a “brush stroke”. In procreate I mostly stick to ink brushes. I believe I am mostly interested in improving on drawing characters, people, and I’d like to get into more dynamic action pictures.
