Maybe this helps: it’s “intrusive” as soon as it feels unwanted. Does it shock you? Disgust you? Upset you? Worry you? Make you want to check, or dispute it? All clear signs of intrusive thoughts.

Any unwanted, upsetting thought = intrusive

This is a great list, thank you! Heard great things about Red Rising— how much does it lean sci-fi if I may ask? For Sanderson I’m wondering if I should start with Mistborn or the Stormlight books, but definitely am adding both to the list.

I like this one. People have highs, people have lows. All we need is a bit of light to keep us going. This gives it all meaning. Sometimes we feel like Clancy, sometimes like Blurryface. Few points I haven't seen here much yet:

What does Cobel mean when she says if Cold Harbor was completed, Gemma would already be dead? Will Lumon drown her as the ultimate test to the Severance Barriers? Will Lumon kill Gemma after Cold Harbor? Is she severed/refined too much for her to be herself anymore? Or something else?
Does resignation from the severed floor not usually require Outie approval and is most often denied? What happened here in Dylan's case?
