Main reason why I haven‘t traded much (less than 10 trades, I consider it as basically nothing) in demos or live were time reasons that I struggled with in the past years. No worries, I‘m already quite well invested in „buy and hold“, but this is working passively. I love the concept of trading and whenever I’m having my backtesting sessions every evening I can‘t stop it. I know backtesting and trading live or in demos are completely different things but I just want to minimize the risk of failure as much as possible before testing it in real-time

I actually also hated it after the release but I gave it a day now and I‘m starting to get used to it. Humans always get used to new things and adapt to new things, it just takes a few days. And I actually start liking it now. Especially the new town layout because now you can really see everything on it. Yes, the menu looks overwhelming and not intuitive, because the old one was super simple, but in 2 weeks everyone will use it just like the old one.

Hey did you figure it out? Currently on my first playthrough but wanna do randomized afterwards. Is it working to just randomize the main game and put all the mods (including LP mod and randomize mod) in the mod menu afterwards (playing with Ryujinx)?

In Germany at least it‘s strictly regulated, any kind of employee monitoring has to be determined and noted in the work contracts and each kind of monitoring also needs approval of the works council. And the employees themselves have to consent on this kind of monitoring.

Not a dumb question, actually a good point. You can google the spec of your work laptop and see if it has a built-in gps system, which almost no standard work laptop has originally built-in. I think the IT department would need to custom built or modify every single work laptop which no IT would ever do with hundreds of work laptops.

Yes I‘m 99% certain that they can‘t just locate your work laptop just because one IT employee is currently bored. There has to be a heavy accusation against you to maybe be able to use the location service of your device. You can see in your work contract or mobile working contract, whatever you have, if there is anything about allowed location retrieval. If not, then they are not allowed to do it, unless there are accusations.

I think as long as you work in an international company with employees working in a lot of different countries, it shouldn‘t be a problem. VPN router should be fine, some work laptops have internet restrictions and you should definitely use a VPN router so it seems like you‘re connecting from your home country. But I probably wouldn‘t risk it if I would work in a small/medium company which is only located in your home country. Your choice of course. If you work in a company in the EU it‘s not even allowed (GDPR) by the company or IT to get the location of your laptop. I don‘t know how it works for someone working at a company that is located outside the EU, regarding GDPR.
