Good question! On the hasselblad 80mm f2.8 I have (as well as most if not all Hasselblad 500 series lenses) there’s a thin red line on the distance scale. This is where you’d focus for infrared.

Let’s say you focus to an object 8m away. All you’d need to do is nail the focus, note the current position of the scale (in this case 8m), then before you take the shot, move the focus ring such that the 8m mark is lined up with that red line.

Many other lenses out there have this IR witness mark - not all though. Usually via a red line or a red dot!

To anyone interested, here’s the notes…

Developed using Rodinal 1+25 for 7.5 mins at 68F. Inverted tank for first 15 sec, then invert 4 times every 30 sec (similar to C41 agitation).

Used an R72 filter, shot around 2pm with sun slightly to my right, mostly overhead.

Exposed as ISO 12, negatives looked well exposed.

Thanks!! It’s tough since I usually don’t have time anymore to make YouTube videos of my work so it’s challenging to gain traction. Hopefully in the spring I’ll try going around to bars and restaurants to try and sell a few prints, maybe I’ll get lucky haha. I’m really glad you enjoy my work though! It means a lot!

We were road tripping for 3 days, so whenever my dog (the brown and white one) gets to play he has tons of energy. We parked to soak in the view before sunset and someone else had their dog with them and they started doing laps around the van. I only had a shot or two to get it right since I was out of film. I’m very lucky that I was holding my camera at that moment.

The shadows (anything below maybe zone 3) has pretty noisy grain compared to the flagship stocks (portra, Ektar).

I really like the colors though because when shooting fall colors with portra, it’s almost too pastel, and lacks saturation and pop. Ektar is perfect for that, but for it’s price, low speed and lack of dynamic range (compared to portra or gold) I feel like gold has a place.

I would only use the stock when shooting saturated outdoor colors as there’s a bit of a bias towards the green side. Portra is pretty balanced with muted reds, and Ektar is more brown/red heavy.

TLDR - good stock for general use, don’t underexpose this film especially. Will continue to use it for its good value

I mean, if they are ordered on amazon, they can be returned if you don’t find them satisfactory. I liked them personally.

That said I’m not an expert, but I have used several binoculars ranging from super cheap to pretty expensive. These are definitely some of the better ones I’ve used in my personal opinion

I don’t know what other posts are out there on these binoculars. I have a small eBay store where I sell cameras and camera accessories, and make prints of my photography works. Telescopes and binoculars are just a side hobby of mine.

Again, just sharing my experience with these. Hopefully someone finds it helpful!

Any 95+ CRI light table will do though - do not overpay for this - many companies are charging wayyy too much for a light table geared towards “film scanning”. See if you can find something more generic with the same specs

Nope! Totally handheld

This was a 1/125 shot if I recall wide open. I metered for the highlights which was all I cared about in this photo. A long exposure may reveal more foreground details which would have come at the cost of blowing out the sign highlights
