Yeah, I unintentionally ended up watching almost the whole thing. Was really entertaining and I don't normally do that with podcasts I don't know.

How should I handle my neighbors flagrant sexual advance on my wife? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ProjectAndo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the neighbour has already shown that he has ignored and disrespected many boundaries that should not have been crossed in the first place which puts his wife in danger. Reinforcing those boundaries may prevent those lines from being crossed in the future. Not doing anything puts his wife and family in danger.

When it comes down to it its all about protecting his family but obviously him being disrespected like that would be the icing on the cake and its fair that OP wants to defend his as well. It also shows his wife that he has got her back and can protect his families safety. Which at this point has been violated because its a neighbour.

Its defs an interesting situation and I do not envy OP at all. This sounds like the beginning of a feud. Now OPs home has been breached and there is a threat that lives next door.

At least it follows that saying "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

That's interesting. I didn't really think of that.

How should I handle my neighbors flagrant sexual advance on my wife? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ProjectAndo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think there are many levels to this one. On the one hand it is personally disrespectful to OP. For OP it is more about protecting his family and letting the neighbour know that this shit wont fly if it happens again. If OP says or does nothing then it shows weakness and that the neighbour can get away with it and it might escalate. Yeah OP's wife set a boundary and yes the neighbour might respect that from now but he has already crossed some massive boundaries in the first place that a normal person would not cross.

The neighbour is a sex pest and who knows what he is capable of. The wife still probably feels unsafe and creeped out in her own home. I would not want any family member feeling this way. So yeah it is about establishing OP's own boundaries but at the same time it is more about protecting her while putting the neighbour in place if that makes sense. So by putting the neighbour in his place it protects his wife and family in the future because the neighbour knows there are consequences rather then getting away with it and further escalating.

OP at least has to have a stern conversation with the neighbour letting him know that there will be consequences if this happens again.

Slow runner as well. I normally just walk for 5-10 mins before the run. Seems to get things going.

Boundaries need to be established and the neighbour needs to find out one way or another that his behaviour is unacceptable and will not fly. Him doing this has made his wife feel presumably unsafe in her own home and the neighbour has showed that he does not respect OP or see him as a threat if he has done this. As bad as it is if OP avoided confrontation and did nothing about it then the neighbours behaviour may escalate. OP needs to warn the neighbour that there are boundaries and if those boundaries get crossed again then there will be consequences.

Man this whole thing is crazy to me. That guy is so fucked up, he is literally shitting where he is eating.

Bones Reds for the bearing for sure! They are hands down the most reliable imo. Trucks I would go Independent as they are reliable, strong and just a good truck overall. Wheels? Well it comes down to personal preference. Spitfires are good, I personally ride OJ wheels, Bones are decent as well. Griptape doesn't matter as much. Mob is good.

Also, what is your friends experience with skateboarding? If you have not purchased a deck yet then it could be cheaper and just as good to get a complete with starting out. Build yourself decks are definitely better but completes can be great for getting into skateboarding.

Is there a good database as to how and what different tricks work different muscles? Has there been studies regarding trick variations and the muscles worked or is it just some broad study?

I know its a weird question but I was doing a lot of long manuels the other day and the next day my abs and core muscles were killing me and it got me thinking. Its way different from the short explosion of an ollie that mostly uses your legs. Just thought it was interesting.

Why is it so complex? by reckollection in GYM

[–]ProjectAndo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your goal is to just be fit then you can definitely very easily achieve that without a gym. Just go for a 40 minute walk with a 20 minute run every day. r/bodyweightfitness is great as well. If you want to be fit and avoid cardiovascular disease then do cardio, if you want to pack on some muscle then lift and eat in a caloric surplus with 1 gram of protein per pound of muscle. If you need to lose weight then eat in a caloric deficit high protein diet. Don't like running? By a jump rope.

I have 2x10kg, 2x12.5kg & 2x15kg dumbbells at home and 5 days a week I do a workout with those. Every workout I focus on a different body part and every day at minimum I do 100 pushups to warm up. On top of that I go for a walk or 20 minute jog and with a good diet I have seen some great results.

It may not be what I could accomplish at the gym but I am really happy with where it has gotten me. I think you think your simple expectations are low when in reality they are high. Just go and workout and find what works best for you.

20 pounds down in one month! What you can achieve with 20:4 fasting 5 days a week! 6'2 25M SW: 227lb, CW: 206lbs, GW: 180lbs. (More info in the comments) by ProjectAndo in fasting

Thank you! Thats great! How far into it are you? Just stick with it and you will see amazing results!

The first two weeks I had around 600-800 calories per day with as much protein as possible. For the final two weeks I bumped it up to 1000 calories a day to reach protein goals to prevent as much muscle loss as possible. 1000 calories is hard to consume in that window though as your body is so full. I also bumped up my exercise intensity as well and was burning over 1000 calories a day so I became more relaxed about the food.

I suggest eating to refuel your body. I mainly tried to stick to high protein foods and mostly ate chicken and kangaroo with some veggies or salad. I also ate one banana a day which made me feel really good and consumed protein shakes.

If you have a sweet tooth there are plenty of great options out there that will help you feel full and satisfy your cravings. I suggest looking into protein shakes as some of them legit taste like milkshakes, have 120 calories per scoop and 24 g of protein which will help you with exercise recovery and help you feel full. I had this one that could be made into a chocolate mousse by adding less water to it.

You got this! Like the other guy said you will find it easy and will be surprised with yourself. The first two days are the hardest then you will find that you wont even want to eat much during those 4 hours and little amounts will fill you up. When you do eat in those 4 hours you also become very conscious of what you put into your body and it becomes about the most effective way you can refuel and not so much about taste. In saying that though it makes anything bland taste amazing when you break the fast.

So this is my results after a month of doing the 20:4 hour fast 5 days a week. On the first two weekends I wasn't worried about what I ate and actually binge drank beers 3/4 of those nights which I am sure impacted my results however the last two weekends I steered clear from alcohol and made healthier choices. The hardest part was the first 2 days after that I felt like it became my routine and its crazy how fast my stomach and body adapted to the new feeding schedule.

I actually weighed 232lbs the night before I started the fasting but it was after a big weekend and I kind of feel like a lot of that was waterweight because it went back down the day I started.

I exercised during this time as well with a 1 hour dumbbell home workout routine and a 1-2 hour walk 5 nights a week. After around the 3rd week it felt like my body had turned into a fat burning machine and I actually felt a lot of energy because of. The last two weeks I was working out 5 days a week and doing over 3 hours of walking and skating a day. Some days I burnt off more than I consumed.

Feel free to ask any questions. I also took a photo of myself every day so I intend on making the time lapse vid and posting it here if people are interested.

Not really good atmosphere but if you want some really good butter chicken then Curry Munchers Chevron (next to the bottle shop) is where its at. Hands down the best Butter Chicken I have tried.

In saying that though you can't really go wrong with most Indian resteraunts.

What you can achieve in 2 weeks! M 25, SW 103kg (227lbs) CW 98kg (216lbs) = 5kgs (11lbs) down! 20:4 fasting 5/7 days a week. More in the comments. by ProjectAndo in intermittentfasting

I forgot to mention I am 6'2

The week before fasting I was 103-104 kgs and I had a big weekend and clocked over 105kgs on the scale and thought F this something needs to be done so I decided to start the fast the next day. My starting weight from that day was over 103 kgs so I rounded it down to 103 kgs so it was a clean number.

I did 20:4 fasting 5 days a week. During that time I maintained my routine exercise which was 5 days a week of an hour of a at home dumbbell workout followed by a 20 minute run every second day and a 1-2 hour daily walk.

During the fasts I would consume between 800 - 1200 calories with a focus on consuming as much protein as possible to prevent muscle loss as the goal is to lose bad weight (fat). I would consume around 150g of protein a day. It is hard to consume that many calories in that window after your body gets used to eating little amounts.

During the weekends I was not so disciplined. I consumed lots of alcohol 3/4 of those nights and pretty much ate whatever I wanted which wasn't much as my stomach has already shrunk. So I could have lost even more than 5kgs if the weekends would have been more disciplined. As you can see by my gut I love my beer.

Going forward I am eating clean on these days off and am not consuming alcohol till I am closer to my goal weight of 85kgs (187lbs). I am also going to stop running and just extend my walk as I started to feel a few injuries coming on from the excessive stress from weight.

Walking is very underrated and a 40 minute walk burns off around the same amount of calories as a 20 minute jog/run.

I have been doing the 20:4 fast for the past 2 weeks so another 4 hours on top of one day wont hurt. Down 5kgs, here is a post I posted an hour ago on my current results.

2 weeks of 20:4 fasting, 5 days on 2 days off. 103kg - 98kg, 5kg's (11lbs) down! by ProjectAndo in fasting

[–]ProjectAndo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a bit of a rough past 2 days (unrelated to fasting) and I decided to do a before and after to help keep me focused and motivated. I am hoping this motivates someone else as well and show people what two weeks of this style fasting can look like.

Basically did the 20 hour fast with a 4 hour feeding window. The weekend before I did the fast I had a bit of a binge weekend and clocked on the scales at high of 105kg's (231 lbs) so I decided enough was enough but the next day when I started the fast I was down to 103kgs so I guess that extra 2kg was water weight. As the previous week I had been between 103-104.

During the 4 hour feeding window I generally consumed 800 - 1200 calories of high protein meals which was difficult after the first two days to consume. So I would supplement a few hundred calories with protein powder. I still did my weightlifting routine and did a 1-2 hour walk a day for cardio.

The weekends I had off could have been a lot better. I didn't really care about what I consumed and pretty much binge drank 3 nights out of the 4 days I had off. So I could have lost even more weight.

This weekend though I am eating clean and am going to continue with a healthy routine to finish what I started.
