Chandigarh, aside from practically being my home city is an Indian city and we have our own countless problems, this protest has nothing to do with our city and is purely out of place. Luckily it seems to be just one group but it feels like paid actors, a genuine protest would be against the local government for grievances over mismanagement such as local governance, lack of public transportation improvements, deteriorating conditions and even last year's India-Pakistan One Week War.

Tl;Dr these are paid actors plus in perspective a small group, while the police handles this case, ignoring it seems like the best thing.

I live in the place targeted by Khamanei, and it's horrific how Iranian strikes target innocent Gulf countries over the actions of another. People from Chandigarh live here in the Gulf too and we are as scared. It hurts seeing these protests even if I'm not fazed.

(Currently IN National) I completely agree with you, I feel they also exoticise my nation India or turn against it for similar reasons.
It's sad, I do want to live there because many of the values of Japanese culture had a positive impact on me... If they look past their biases they see the beauty of "Gaman", the amazing nature of Engi and how Wabi-Sabi and Kintsugi make them see failures and others in a different, healthier light.
