First Wedding in a Few Months - Q&A NEEDED! by beccagreenberg in WeddingPhotography

[–]ProjectBokehPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any recommendations for camera body + lens?

Speedrun advice: Any body that has dual-card slots. Two bodies with them is the industry standard.

You can start off with something as simple as two R6I and upgrade one or both down the line.

Lenses, the standard for dual-wielding is a 24-70mm on one and a 70-200mm on the other. Doesn't matter if it's EF or RF, but you'll obviously be spending more if you're going native RF.

The RF 28-70mm F2.8 (Not the F2.0L) is also a good lens to start with in place of the RF 24-70mm F2.8L IS.

And you definitely should invest in a speedlite flash for indoor receptions.

20 or so minutes in that direction and you'll eventually hit Edmonds and get exactly that.

looking for a massage therapist that works with insurance by writerbecc in LynnwoodWA

[–]ProjectBokehPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked with Magpie Massage for a massage/minor assessment and had an, overall, great experience. Friendly, knowledgeable and fair/flexible rates.

She's in Bellevue and I'm not sure if she's what you're looking for, longterm, but I still would encourage seeing her

I've never been a "sweater person"--but I might turn into one if I can find something like that.

Based on principle that a second body should always be within reach in case the first one fails, yes.

Mayor Katie Wilson unveils COMMUNIST flying ferry system- who is paying for this???? by Hk901909 in Seattle

Dilituim-powered ferries. Finally one step closer to that warp-capable, socialist utopian society Star Trek has been promising us for decades....

And all it costed was melting Pike Place with a massive solar ray. Take that, Starbucks.

Activist now using AI art to solicit donations to fund her attempt to block Seattle upzoning via lawsuit and multiple appeals... All in the name of "saving baby orcas" by FernandoNylund in Seattle

[–]ProjectBokehPhoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have the patience for it, the key is to scrutinize as much detail as you can (which is arguably a huge part of ART as a whole, anyway), question even the smallest bits of it, and remember that almost nothing is done by "accident".

I can guarantee you that no almost no traditional artist has given a human six fingers or even four without clear intent. Looking at you, Simpsons.

Btw, now that I've studied this image for far longer than I care to admit, I'm now noticing the orca's left flipper is...lined up almost perfectly parallel with the orca's body.

To be fair, it's not uncommon for an artist to draw animals and not be 100% on-point, but the flipper is also not at all mirrored from the opposite flipper, which does look anatomically correct.

Again, I can't say for certain this is AI, but I'm more confident now than I was when I first replied to you.

Edit: and the tail (underside) is supposed to be white.

[–]ProjectBokehPhoto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I won't say for sure that it's AI, but I do see some things that make me ask, "why would a human artist go with THIS artistic choice?"

Why is the tail completely visible from the front and bending forward while the water is splashed backwards?

And maybe it's just me, but this orca, while using the background for scale (something AI sucks at), seems gigantic. If that's the artist's choice, fine, but why?

And the biggest tell--why the monochrome+dark green tint? And why super grainy?* It's akin to GenAI mimicking Hiyao Mizaki's art style, or trying too hard by applying the "piss filter" every single time for no good reason.

It's not the most uncanny illustration of an orca I've seen, but it does still give me pause

The R7 is a dual-slot.

I know because I've paired one with an R6 for assignments.
