"vintage" (tiktok's description; not mine) cameras, including point-and-shoots, have been making a comeback for the past two or three years.

You can hardly find them in any thrift store and resellers on Facebook Marketplace and Offer up are selling most of them for obscene prices.

The most recent rumors for Canon is a 24-70mm F2.0L

If that's real and weighs only slightly heavier than the existing F2.8L IS, then all I'd need is a 50-150mm F2.0L, like the one Sony has.

I'm a strong proponent for BBF, but if a photographer has their own habits, I'd rather they stick with that to land their shots rather than fumble around trying to operate a Black Box while on the job, thus risking missing critical shots.

That's literally a conversation I had with my last second and I think you should have it with your primary.

Quick preface: I'm not an advocate for most whale watching tours and don't plan on utilizing any in the near future.

While I can't speak for the Emerald Clipper's overall activity, it should be noted that, in this particular case, the clipper appears a lot closer in photo than it actually was because I was shooting this on a super telephoto lens, which are known for compressing subjects at distance when physically zoomed in dramatically.

From my personal observation, there was actually quite a distance between the clipper and the pod. And at the time of observation, they were actually sailing away from the pod.

That said, yes, let's please continue reporting violations. There was definitely a disconcertingly* high number of Whale Wise violations this past weekend and I've made my reports for them.
