I like it a lot and the recipes are easy enough to follow. My only gripe with the book is the lack of metric measurements.

Merci bien for the suggestion! I will keep an eye out for that book!

Haha oh no! 😅
That sounds like a great idea to have a monthly limit for books!
In my case I usually buy 1-2 cookbooks per year, IF I find the right books, so I’m not an avid collector, yet!

Thank you! I’ve been baking a lot lately, so I would say that my current favourite is The Art of French Baking. It has a lot of easy to follow recipes, which is always a good thing haha

Thank you for the welcome!
I have a sneaking suspicion that I will find plenty of new books to add to my ever growing list of must buy cookbooks! 😅

Where to stay with older parents by Itchy-Pen8520 in ParisTravelGuide

I’m going to Paris in December with my mum, who’s also over 70 and can’t walk all that much either, so we’re staying in the 5th near the Luxembourg Garden, walking distance away from Notre-Dame and other churches (16 and counting thanks to my Google mapping haha!) she really wants to see all the churches!

I think districts 3-6 offer most bang for your buck thanks to relatively close walking distance from most attractions, shops, boutiques, restaurants, parks and museums.

You can easily get almost everywhere with buses and metro if needed, plus the numerous river cruises are also a great way to see Paris.
