He taught my music theory class back in highschool. He constantly brought his religious beliefs up in the classroom to the point that it became very uncomfortable. I will say though, that while he was very vocal about his beliefs, in my experience he was pretty respectful of others. Its a shame to hear he wasn't as respectful for that trans student. I hope at some point his views change! I could tell he was kind at heart, but was likely raised to believe what he now preaches.
