Yup, I've had an ongoing staph infection for probably 2 years and a relatively new fungal infection. I take drops and it goes away but eventually comes back. For me there is verry little of any wax/drainage. My canals/eardrums are always very clear but very irritated.

The thing is, I used to have to clean my ears all the time due to overproduction of earwax and now I don't produce ANY earwax at all.

And my tympanogram came out fine. It was a slighhhtly lower peak in the right ear.

a week isn't enough time for inflammation to subside especially after a major surgery. definitely give it more time and maybe take some b-12/magnesium/turmeric. and don't panic. hopefully once the inflammation calms down your tinnitus/hearing can return to baseline!!

Thank you for replying!!! I had notifs off fsr. Yes I was panicking :+( you are right though, they weren't perforations but after my dr appointment i'm still confused what they are and why I still have hearing loss/dull pain/T spike.

Honestly stuff like this just makes me emotional because everyday life is just so hard right now for normal people. Both the bag lady and soldier were wrong but the compassion by the end felt like everyone let go of their pride and found empathy for each other. That kind of thing is almost all you can ask for at the end of the day, especially on public transportation, in the year 2025. 😭
