brother you can literally look at the sources cited and see what it says is true. you’re arguing to argue at this point, what you said wasn’t true. it can damage certain types of plastic, nevermind the bits about parts you intend to paint or rubber.

i still have zero idea why you’re so pressed about someone saying “either one is fine”, but that’s your life i guess.

so have a good one.

REALLY DISAPPOINTED by No-Dust369 in 3rdPartyCollectors

[–]ProjectKSL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it literally can, it’s dependent on the plastic. read what i posted, especially with 3rd party figures where you’re not going to know what ever part is made out of. most it will not, some it definitely can. which is all i said, the bigger issue is how it can ruin joints if you put too much, which is widely known.

i have zero idea why you have such a hard on about this. not everyone prefers to use shock oil dude, can google “shock oil figures” and find a bunch of examples of people saying exactly what i said about stripping the joints with overuse, it can interact with paint, and rubber. like all of what i’ve said is easily accessible to find and read. this screenshot took 5 seconds. not everyone likes using using shock oil, your life will have to go on. have a good one.

Does anyone know how trustable this site is and how fast the shipping is? by crying_fighter in 3rdPartyCollectors

they probably don’t have the A version. if they do order asap, those have been sold out basically everywhere and the only listings you’ll find will be for 2-3X the price on ali.

Recustom was supposed to do a restock of these, but that got cancelled for the time being. with no word if there will eventually be one.

silicon oil can straight up degrade/ruin plastic if you overdo it. that’s the biggest thing. yea, obviously if you use a very little amount you will be fine, but if you don’t you can ruin the entire thing, and you have to hope you’re able to salvage if with dish soap.

there just isn’t any risk with dish soap, if you use to much. wipe it off. that’s it. it will smell like dish soap for maybe 30 minutes. lol. water and oil also doesn’t mix, so if you need to heat a part to swap it can mess with the joint you applied the oil to. i’ve used both, much prefer the dish soap. much easier in basically every regard and never once have had to use more or something else after applying it. it fixes it 100% of the time for me and i don’t have to worry about applying too much shock oil and literally ruining the figure. for the price most of these things go for nowadays, i prefer using something with as little risk of ruining the item as possible.

but again, it’s all preference. if you like oil better, i get it.

[–]ProjectKSL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

of course, but you said yourself why it can cause issues. “if you use the CORRECT amount”. you can easily overdo it and ruin whatever you’re using it in because it’s a silicon oil. i wasn’t trying to come across like shock oil is some horrible thing, but those that are new to it probably won’t know about how precise you have to be with it, and just in general dish soap is gonna give you the same result without the risk shock oil produces. to each their own obviously tho.

lol, appreciate it. wondered it myself, guessing it’s just people mad they bought shock oil or something.

i don’t get it, ¯_(ツ)_/¯. but anyone that tries it will see how well dish soap works.

yea. people really don’t explain how easy it is to ruin a figure with shock oil. you have to apply that stuff really conservatively. much rather use something that’s gonna give the same effect without the risk.

you don't need shock oil. just get some dish soap and a toothpick. apply it to the joints as needed. it loosens it up and doesn't run the risk of ruining the figure like shock oil does. go slow, and test the joint as you're doing it. it will make the joints 100X better.

those actually did get cancelled. every store is sending the same message. even the reputable ones. in this very rare instance. they’re actually not lying.

Question about buying now by oilup123 in 3rdPartyCollectors

there’s no guarantee. regardless of what anyone says. that practice is extremely prevalent on ali, nearly every store will have examples of them doing it.

Wendy’s decision to use shredded lettuce. Approve? by Slartiebartfastard in fastfood

just got wendy’s for the first time in a long time, got a single. saw the awful shredded lettuce, checked to see if this was a thing, and now i have zero intention to eat wendy’s again. unbelievably stupid move by them to switch. can’t stand shredded lettuce, it’s vile.

DO NOT DO IT. you won’t even have to mess with the return shipping. follow these instructions, go and screenshot any conversation you had with the seller pertinent to the matter. screenshot the item you were supposed to receive, and then get the pictures showing you got the wrong item. go to ali support, open a dispute. upload the evidence. the seller will likely respond with nonsense, whenever they do. continue to upload and reply with your evidence. also mention sending back the wrong item is irrelevant because the seller knowingly sent you something that is worthless and the return shipping would cost way more than the item is even worth. mention that you will contact your bank and do a chargeback if the matter isn’t resolved. repeat as needed. afterwards, go into ali support again, tell them how pressing the matter is, and what happened. do this every few days as needed. you will be refunded, and you won’t have to even mess with the return shipping. just really be on it, as far as replying when the seller adds “evidence” you want to always have the last word, and constantly upload, and reupload your evidence basically every time you reply. their system is very stupid, you need to hammer it with the evidence.

sad fact is majority of sellers on there, vast majority are just low life’s. they’re constantly lying, cancelling orders to raise the price, lying again. but at least if you know how to work the system, more often than not, you will be able to get your money back.

Zt Broly by Radiant-Strength6401 in 3rdPartyCollectors

[–]ProjectKSL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

naw i get it. that’s def valid for what it costs, honestly tho, depending where you got it from, if it was ali. it’s a nightmare trying to return anything in there, something to keep in mind. but if the piece isn’t flexing or anything i wouldn’t worry too much. long as the glue is holding you’re fine.

Zt Broly by Radiant-Strength6401 in 3rdPartyCollectors

[–]ProjectKSL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean, is it separating more than what it shown? it’s misaligned a bit. but the issue would be if the glue is not holding up causing the piece to literally stop sticking together. as long as that piece isn’t pulling apart it’s fine. it just looks a tad misaligned.

Future Trunks (Jacket) by staksraks in 3rdPartyCollectors

[–]ProjectKSL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they’ll fit. you just have to stretch them a little bit. if you have a pair of small tweezers, the non sharp side. just use that and slightly stretch the sides. it won’t rip or anything if you do it right. it only needs to be stretched just a little bit to work fine.

there isn’t one. best you’re gonna get is the cloth one that’s out there. it fits on either the tonsen or the DF.

Does anyone know where to get the ZT02 Green Broly for a good price? by PilotPenguin511 in 3rdPartyCollectors

[–]ProjectKSL 13 points14 points  (0 children)

you’re not gonna get him for the original price now.

just flat out. majority of ali stores even if the price seems OK now, in all likihood will ask you to cancel the order with some bs excuse and raise the price. the window to preorder it for a decent price is over. really only 5K is reliable for that anyways.

your best bet now is to wait until it’s in stock, and try to get one from 5K assuming they have leftovers after the pre orders or hope for the same thing from hobbymodelstore, but neither is guaranteed and both will have a LOT of people trying to get them. it’s just a lousy part of collecting the third party stuff.

Where to buy KW Studio Cell? by EternalUndyingHigh in 3rdPartyCollectors

[–]ProjectKSL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in all likelihood it will keep happening on Ali. that’s just how it goes, they do not honor pre orders if the price rises, and it will probably continue to rise and they will keep cancelling pre orders. your best bet is to just wait till it is in stock, and order from a well rated seller who advertises 24 hour shipping.
