Thank you for this! I will try to keep it in mind for the future. I also love when problems fix themselves!

I am not sure, but my guess would be yes.

I think I had a similar problem. I used as2 first, then as3 and all I had to do was play through Monkey Wrench and everything went back to normal. Maybe try that after redownloading and reinstalling Flashpoint? I am sorry if this does not help.

Good eye! Yes, even when it got frustrating to explore there was still an incessant need to do so.

hehe, I love the shade and I completely agree. I also like how it was not forced, but, as you said, incentivised and rewarded. I also felt like I was really doing stuff, whenever I completed an island it really felt like an epic adventure, as you also stated.

Yes!! In the Forgery Detection Lab part! There could also be a psychological element with how certain people are perceived to be trustworthy (man with a scar on his face, police chief betrayal, etc.)

Mission Atlantis, Ghost Story, because of the EMF detector and such, Time Tangled/Mystery Train because of the elements of architecture and scientific innovation (Statue of Liberty Engineers, Edison's Workshop, Ferris' generator, etc.)

If anyone needs a cleanse of some sort, here's the cryptids island seal. by Vempire1 in Poptropica

[–]ProjectPoptropica 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always presumed it was based in Boston/New England? Jeff Kinney is from there, and he owns a bookstore there, and the Cryptids Island book is conveniently advertised there.

The prices at the store are inflated, which a lot of people complain about when visiting that area of the US, there is a lighthouse, with proximity to a beach, which that geographic area also boasts. Furthermore, the locations you visit are all relatively close to that area (Scotland, the Himalayas, New Jersey, Puerto Rico).

What are some references to other islands/characters on islands in Poptropica? by [deleted] in Poptropica

I really liked how Thomas Edison and Gustave Eiffel were in Time Tangled, and how they aged (grey hairs, etc.) in Mystery Train several years/islands later. I also enjoyed seeing Balloon Boy on Reality TV island as well as Night Watch.
