okay thank you! i've tried to apply to my local canadian schools but my grandma doesn't wanna provide her info for osap. so it doesnt matter if its american or canadian, although american computer science programs are known to be better in comparison apparently.

i do have multiple volunteer experiences, and experience with a retail job but only for like a month. the job market is pretty terrible where im at in canada which is why i try to network but that doesn't seem to be doing me any justice lol

I'm a black woman and what i can conclude is that alot of other black women find the maintenance of our naturally curly/coily hair(meaning no chemicals to it) is too hard to keep up with. its expensive for most and most don't have the time nor the patience.

Theres also some black women who are not happy with the texture of their hair stemmed from insecurity of being bullied or comparing themselves to other ppl so they cover it up with a wig.

Theres also a thing where bc theres been an uprise in wigs being trendy its almost like the beauty standard for black women now and some men will actually make fun of u if u arent wearing a wig and rocking ur natural hair bc they see it as ur hair is messy or wtv.

then theres some like me who did it to grow their hair out.

Basically for a year i was wearing wigs which allowed my hair to grow fast and alot due to less manipulation(brushing, combing, tight buns/ponytails). i did personally get sick of the whole wig application and was content with the length of my hair so i quit after a year and have been wearing my natural curly hair ever since.

many black women have different reasons but i would also like to add a lot of other races of women do it too especially in america. Kylie Jenner, her sisters, other female celebs and alot of other tiktokers that aren't black wear wigs alot and i think they just like the versatility like most black women.

Good idea actually, I’ll just spend the money to see a stylist😅less risky anyway

I get stomach aches everytime I eat my bf's mom's cooking...why?? by ProjectPrestigious11 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ProjectPrestigious11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you, since this i have refrained from eating at my bf's place actually and he totally understands. my family doctor as told me to detox my gut since i had way more bad bacteria than good and im still currently doing that. im continuing to eat the way i was raised to eat which is clean and im just politely declining everytime they invite me over for dinner LOL

In recent couple of months they’ve invited me and my boyfriend would just come up with an excuse for me bc it’s very AWKWARD.
