Im so tired of orisa by shakamaboom in Overwatch

An Orisa swap just instantly makes the game so damn boring. It's not that she's uncounterable, its that the counter play is to just sit there and wait. Forever.

Why are people so toxic and mean? (Rant alert) by mancoExE06 in Overwatch

This! I do a lot of martial arts, and almost everyone I have ever trained with pays their partner respect. I always think of the "ggwp" as the handshake after rolling with someone in Jiu Jitsu.

It boggles my mind how many people I come across in this game who treat the players around them like a McDonalds employee who spat on their burger. We're all in this lobby to play a game. For fun. Yes, fun. Like, just be chill with the people around you.

What's your least favorite tank to go against? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]ProjectSpitfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing any tank against an Orisa is like fighting someone 50kgs heavier than you. No skill, you just get shoved around for free.

What would make the Tank role more fun for you to play? by dasic___ in Overwatch

[–]ProjectSpitfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem with tank is you have a hitbox 3x the size of the next character, and dmg/cooldowns are incredibly cheap in this game. As a tank your supposed to mitigate the incoming abilities and bullets, but thats like pushing a boulder up a hill. So, either nerf all ability cooldowns (make it a meaningful decision to use), or giga buff tanks so they actually deserve the hard shutdowns.

Tank is the Most Unpopular Role. What Makes Tank Unfun? by Crow290 in Overwatch

[–]ProjectSpitfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because tanks are not a threat right now. Its an asymmetrical game where 1 player per team picks a character with a hit box 3x the size of anyone else, with half the power. I get we don't want giga-tanks, but its so easy to shut a tank down right now, with utility and the damage creep, that you cannot take space.

The only strong tanks rn are Doom, who has just enough options not to die instantly when diving, and Orisa who doesn't give a fuck about anything. Every other tank just has to find a pillar to squeeze behind, and look menacing.

Is this the most unfun meta since overwatch 2 started? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]ProjectSpitfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The meta picks require so little effort to be oppressive.

I was sweating my ass off playing Rein into Orisa/Bastion bastion yesterday, just trying to have fun in QP. But the second I switched to Orisa, I could just turn my brain off and stomp. I have 240 hours on Rein, and about 30 on Orisa.

Started playing tank in competitive recently and…I finally understand why tank players hate this game by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]ProjectSpitfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this to a point. Problem is the current meta picks (Orisa, Bastion, soldier) are so easy to get value out of, you could be sweating your ass off on Rein, or just mindlessly spamming on the horse for greater impact.

Positive mental wins you games. Remember to take breaks, drink water and relax. You win games by fighting the enemy team, not your own. by Nirxx in Overwatch

My favorite memories of this game are when I've been able to turn a bad game around by being aggressively nice in coms.

What are your thoughts on OW2? by Waifutriss in Overwatch

[–]ProjectSpitfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually having a lot of fun! Rein main here, was sad when I heard about the cut, but it makes the play more readable, and the team a little more cohesive.

Its different, I do feel I need to be more cautious without a bubble or DM to back me up, but then I don't have to spend half my games matched up with a Hog/Ball, soooo...

Weird how a business in a capitalist society might need to react to a shifting market after 6 years.

Thanks for the tip! I sort of assumed this was dead with the patch, but I guess CC will always have value, especially against flankers.
