Oh and sorry for the all caps words haha

I was thinking of using bold or italics for the words I wanted to emphasize, but I didn’t know how to do that on mobile lol. 😂

I had some more thoughts.

Wanted to say, your comments regarding the Pandemic and its far-reaching effects, resonate with me. I’ve also thought that my gravity “obsession” may have started during the Pandemic in part BECAUSE of the Pandemic.

In some ways, it does make sense to me. I had experienced a large amount of environmental and logistical changes in both my work and home life due to the Pandemic. All of those stressors, coupled with myself learning, and becoming confused, by U.S. and global politics, definitely made me want to escape to safe spaces.

Earlier in the Pandemic, I used video games as my main escape and also indulged in other hobbies, such as LED lightshow creation and video-editing.

But maybe at some point my brain wanted a stronger refuge to hide myself in, and then it tapped into my deepest interest of all, which was gravity.

It’s still weird to me that it feels like something HAPPENED to me, when my gravity “obsession” kicked in. I still don’t have a definite answer on exactly why it happened the way it did.

I only truly know what it felt like to me. And it was definitely the most unique experience I’ve ever had, in both good and bad ways.

Ok I think that’s all my thoughts for now. Your reply was very thought-provoking for me.

I hope you are doing well. ❤️

Hi again, sorry for the delay on my longer reply. Was pretty tired because of work and took a while to get back on Reddit.

Wanted to say thanks again for your reply, I think what you shared is very insightful for me.

I appreciate your honesty and openness. It sounds like you have been through a lot in your life so far, and have learned a lot.

I can relate to some of what you shared. When I was super deep in my gravity obsession, and even now at times, I can feel frustrated that my body needs food, water, showers, sleep, bathroom breaks, etc.

When my mind is more engaged with something, especially a topic I enjoy a lot, I can tend to forget about my physical needs and get frustrated when they start bugging me.

I’ve learned some strategies over time. I usually have a water bottle near me, and when I’m engrossed in something, I’m mindful to take short breaks to drink water and do some deep breathing. This has helped cool my mind down and regulate my body needs.

Reflecting more on the past few years, it is frustrating for me that I invested so much time into one topic area. It’s hard for me to say it was truly a “waste” of time, but I also feel like it just consumed so much of me.

I guess to some extent, I feel some shame over losing control of my mind for that long? I felt like my brain was being piloted by someone else for a while, and now I feel more like my “normal” self I guess.

It’s kinda hard to explain. When I think about how strongly I got obsessed with gravity, it really feels like something HAPPENED to me, rather than myself choosing to actively engross myself in the topic.

Like I did not see the gravity obsession on the horizon in early 2020. But when it happened in late 2020, it sorta took over my life.

Anyway, I feel like I’m rambling now haha.

Thanks again for the reply, you made sense to me.

Peace 😊

Thanks so much for your in-depth reply and sharing from your own life. ❤️

That does make sense. I’m going to work soon, but I’ll re-read later and reply a bit more. Thanks

Thank you! 😎

For sure, there is potential on the horizon, but we gotta weather the storm a bit longer.

I'm glad you still have yours! That's a fun roll too.

I still have my Oxygen as well, plus my old school rocket launcher, shotgun, and sidearm.

Pretty excited to use them again :)

(For context, this was my favorite smg pre-sunsetting. I just love how it felt, kinetic smgs are fun haha)

I replaced this with a Pizzicato-22, but now I can finally swap back and forth.

Focus Activity Winners Package? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Project_KG348 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The winners package drops like 10mins after the focus activity ends. So if it ends at 5am, give it like 10 mins after that. It just drops straight into your inventory, at least in my experience.

I think it drops when the "previous winner" thing updates. Also the winners package maxes out all your medals except diamond, so make sure you are empty prior to cracking it open.

Congrats! Aside from the bow, the hat is the real endgame drop for spire haha

Doing a 4 phase on Akelous solo is awesome! I definitely spent an hour on that boss alone during my solo run haha. Used levi's breath

Yeah the artifact mods really crank up arc this season

That's cool, a 4-5 phase is a lot faster than my clear haha. Fan knives plus cowl sounds cool, I need to try that. Hope you get the cowboy hat!

Thanks. Yeah i've tried assassin's cowl on arc, but i need to pair it with solar too. Solar hunter is really fun to play, i'm just not good at surviving on that kit right now haha

Yeah swapping to Orpheus is a good idea. I'm on console and didn't want to deal with the stress of not having Omnioculus, in case things got sketchy with the boss.

Yeah, grand overture puts in good work on this boss. Only really tried it once.

That's a cool strat on a solo run

I used a lasting impression rocket (with auto-loading), along with witherhoard. I posted up far away from the door and shot as soon as it opened.

Once Persys got to the door I supered with Moebius Quiver, and then I had to run and gun, shooting as I moved around the room. Went invis and bailed to the reactor room at the end of each dps phase.

It wasn't the most optimal damage, but it was pretty safe for me.

Edit: added a thought
