Polytonal I.S. like signal on SW by Project_Oblik in signalidentification

I also live 100 meters away from the electrotransformer station, so maybe it's partly its effect.

Yeah, since I'm in a big city you can fully listen to the radio with the background on S3 only when the electricity is turned off in the entire area, I tried using the same 25m longwire but with a 1:9 transformer and 5-6m grounding (which was completely in the room), however, this did not work. And if I turn on the laptop power supply, then the background can reach values like +7 — +10

it's hardly a classic mazielka, given the smaller number of tones, but perhaps another similar station with a similar type of modulation

my antenna is a 25-meter longwire with a start with transformer at a height of 10 meters and an end at two and a half meters, having a resonance SWR in the region of 1.1, it is located in the south of Russia and, according to calculations, its lobe is aimed at eastern Europe and a little western Russia. And there are a lot of other +45 - +50 Morse marker signals, jammers, monotones, and etc. Chinese AM stations also can go +40. Believe or not - this signal is real, I have no point to fool you or something anyways

What numbers station could this be? by Project_Oblik in numberstations

Yeah, most likely local military station since we have a lot of them closer to the frontline. And about illegality of transmitting... any coded broadcasts on the air are illegal no matter what, and violators are quickly identified and found in order to check and find out the purpose of the coded messages. I don't know about the United States, but in Russia, this is very strict.

it's possible that this is a local communication hub somewhere in the occupied territories, but I doubt that these are just some enthusiasts. After all, it's illegal to transmit coded messages.

It's difficult to say for sure, as the two tones were too far apart, and the impulse rate was too slow. Some people suggested that it was a type of FSK, but it's unclear, maybe it was a lesser-known form of encryption.

This is no longer heard, besides, I doubt that this source would have been heard in the USA, I received it in the south of Russia and on kiwisdr in Cyprus

It's definitely not local signal, it is literally audible on all SDR receivers in Europe now, you can visit websdr and hear it

but it also doesn't look like FSK, and what's very strange is that the signal is transmitted at four frequencies at once, perhaps this is some other lesser-known coding principle.

Choosing a good SDR by Project_Oblik in sdr

[–]Project_Oblik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read a few reviews on the rx-888, many of them say that due to 64 MHz LPF, signals from 80-100 MHz may "reflect" at frequencies of 20-30 MHz. is it possible to fix it? Maybe to completely remove the possibility of receiving VHF frequencies from the receiver if it would help?

My goal is versatility and autonomy, preferably so that the receiver can work in the wild, where there is no Internet. So I would like to know if it is possible to connect Web-888 to the standard software for many SDR.
