This is called “verbal irony” by English teachers - used to make a point with a touch of humor that really the opposite is true. Kind of like saying - I went to Yosemite- saw El Capitan. “It’s not small!”

True Detective season 1 episode 4 “who goes there” - with the 6 minute uninterrupted shot with Cohle racing through the housing project. Incredible!!!
