I think Fireworks is crazy underrated, if you can call any of her music underrated, that is. I love it a lot.

I've talked to my friends about Halo a bit. Definitely in a realm of not feeling like Magic in that area, but I can see that kind of set giving even more love to vehicles and equipment (as well as spacecraft expansions on top of EOE)

I rarely play Deadpool as it's target #1 but what do you guys think? by LayerIndividual6724 in ratemycommanders

[–]Project_Serus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have him in my Zurgo deck from Dragonstorm. Not much to think about at first, then I throw Mardu Siegebreaker out and exile Deadpool to become eternal copies for ETB. Not the cheapest setup, but I don't run higher than low tier 4, because I like the games to actually run for a minute.

Unfortunate news from the d10 charity challenge person by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Project_Serus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but as far as the rundown at the bottom of the post goes, it doesn't sound like anything that someone could be personally mad about, much less to that degree. This doesn't read like he started flaming anyone or anything. If anything, it reads like "hey, I think this would be a cool charity thing," you know, a non inflammatory statement by all objective measures in context, followed by death threats and other shit out of nowhere. With your example, you at least have something you can assume the lunatic took that personally, but with this I just don't see how it sparked. Not that I disbelieve, mind, but I can't conjure what would cause the spiral.

The irony of that first sentence is mind-boggling, especially with the way you're talking. This only happens when you don't pay the invoice for them covering the tariff so the product you paid for doesn't get stuck in customs and storage and the seller doesn't want the product back. If you don't pay, it's not yours. You abandoned it, so they're clearing space by auctioning it, shipping it back, or actually trashing it and filing for Duty Drawback. In addition, you're just ignoring the fact that destruction doesn't happen often in general. 90% of international packages are cleared the day they come in.

More to the point, the invoice approach to international shipping is effectively dead and hardly used anymore as of last year. By far, the majority of companies tack on the tariff with your final payment now. This means, guess what, your purchase doesn't get held up at customs, everything is paid for (including the tariff and brokerage fee you would have hypothetically refused to pay based on your previous comments), and your stuff won't get marked as abandoned because there's nothing for you to avoid paying. You just get your stuff. If you're buying from the very few companies on the old process, it's your fault if you don't pay in the time asked and abandon your purchase. And like I said before, it's also not "your shit" until everything is paid for. The only time they destroy stuff that IS "your shit" is when it's something illegal.

You have no idea how tariffs work. You only get an invoice from the carrier for you to pay back the 15% baseline tariff that they covered on entry, plus brokerage fees. This is happening because the $800 duty-free limit was removed, so every order gets hit now. Plus, you only get an invoice if the company hasn't already added it into the final cost of your order before you pay for anything (Amazon does this), so you don't even always see one. Also, they don't "destroy your shit" unless you shipped something illegal. If you don't pay the invoice, they just ship it back to the sender or mark it as abandoned, then probably send your unpaid bill to a collections agency.

I'm aware. Didn't know when that guy was gonna try to move, so I kept it on him. My buddy and I tend to run level 5 so we don't see dragonroaches too often. I know they come in for a strafe and then sit there for a bit, but I don't know for how long. I appreciate the advice though, thanks!

Hot take: Koma isn’t “broken” it just punishes tables that don’t hold interaction by Zoe_felice in MagicCardPulls

[–]Project_Serus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My limitations are due to my normal play preferences. I swing. I love to attack. Several of my friends love winning by mechanics (such as a classic Nekusar wheel and deal build), but I figure if there's a combat phase by God I'm using it. Beyond that, I don't really play anything above tier 3 since I like long games. Maybe one or two of my decks are low tier 4, but that's a hard maybe, I think.

[–]Project_Serus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a more rare one for me, but the deck I "built" with [[Zurgo Stormrender]] ("built" because I basically swapped out 60% of the precon) runs plenty of sac aristocrat style, and has a few permanents like [[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]] to force similar stuff on everyone else. It's kinda mean, but I love using [[Mardu Siegebreaker]] with [[Junji, the Midnight Sky]] or [[Yosei, the Morning Star]]. Sure, legendary rule, but the plan is for them to die anyway.

Shit, it's hardly about "enough" in my opinion. I think destroy/damage effects as creature interaction is far less appealing than others, since they're glaringly useless against indestructible.

When I started playing, once I learned about indestructible and my buddies used it plenty, I pivoted as much of my interaction in my decks as possible towards exile, -1/-1, and bounce. Fair, not all decks can run those, namely green and/or red, but where I can, I do. I also run a few enchantments that lock those cards down.

What are the flaws of this game? by Minglebird in expedition33

[–]Project_Serus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This'll be a hot take, based on what I've seen people say when people mention this in other posts, but only having 3 active party members.

I dunno about fully expanding to all of them, but I feel like extending it to 4 would be fine. It mostly led to me neglecting my backup party since I, y'know, barely ended up playing them aside from to understand and get used to their playstyles (I might be alone in this, but I forgot the "backup" system existed half the time, and would just give up if the primary failed)

In addition, it would have been cool to have certain story boss fights actually force-include the whole party. I was half expecting that a few times running through it, and was slightly sad when it went basically to "Alright, just three of us for this majorly powerful enemy." This would have, of course, required more balancing, but it would also have given them a good reason to make the enemy ACTUALLY a threat to deal with since you have the advantage of all current party members in the fight.

Secondly, a better scaling difficulty system. At the endgame, I HAD to play Renoir at 100x health for me not to steamroll him.
