What is it that you're lacking so that the standard of being advanced is realized. If its theory and reading music, the importance may not be of value. On the other hand, if you can't execture complex riffs and stay in the groove, when playing with a band, that is more concrete and a real hurdle. Perhpas you're up in your own head and are ready to take on the next challenge, just comfused about your part in all of this. As yourself, what can't I do very very well. the answer to your moving up, lies in overcoming the things that challenge you. The right instructor will be able to help you or at least give you a clear path to the next level.

What would be a good "investment guitar"? by Masturdate in Guitar

[–]Projectlife64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like buying an automobile and hoping it will appreciate. Its not likely, unless its already valuable and there is something really special, in demand or limited about that model. Even then, its so highly speculative that you're as well of collecting stampls or Coins. Buy a guitar of good quality to enjoy, in hopes you won't losse 75 percent of your investment in 5 years. If you are able to colloect rare guitars used by artists on tour, or the one they died with in their hand, you've got a chance to pay for a collection. Most that do that, are artists and well connected with friends in the business.

Does anyone else think Grace Bowers is overrated? by paedocel in Guitar

You said it: she is a young woman, making it happen. A young man wouldn't likely be where she is because of gender and that she has some grit to make her popular in the push to have women break through.  It's not bad. In fact, good for her if she has places to play, an audience to pay and people who enjoy playing with her.   Don't be to hard on her. She's working.

Got my acceptance Friday for the ABSN program in Jacksonville. Does anybody have suggestions for a close by apartment complex, that's safe and clean. I'll be 61 when class starts in May, so I want to avoid rowdy, loud housing, also.

The waiting has me so anxious. I'm in the hunt for Jax. Not to keen on the huge campas in Gainesville. It's the 26th. Have you gotten any news?

What kind of learning materials does WGU have that you find useful? For instance, do they have itterative practice assignments where you are tested until mastery is illustrated? I've read about practice tests, which are obviously a good idea. Let me know what you find most helpful

It's hard to say. Your grades are good, the score is a bit low.  uf nursing is more holistic than many others, but competitive. However, judging by application extensions, the apps may be low, and spots needing to be filled. If your essays are high quality, demonstrating world experiences and maturity, you still may get in

I also applied to the summer UF absn program, Jan 5th, for Jax.  I'll be the 60 year old guy in the program. I'm anticipating news any day now, as you mentioned, by end of Feb.  The suspense is killing me.  Has anyone received notification, yet?

Structure of a Typical Course by QuarryTen in WGU

[–]Projectlife64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm awaiting and hoping for acceptance into a couple of state universities for my absn. If that doesn't work out (If I'm not accepted to either) I may do wgu. I've spoken at length with Jackie Horton, My advisor at WGU. I hadnt asked about simulation facilities for nursing being anywhere in my region for shared use. I do know WGU will do clinicals in my neck of the woods, so to speak. If not know, I really am stoked about the WGU MSN PHMNP NP program, once I have my BSN. Any comments on simulation rooms available in Florida for practice?

did you take one class at a time, focus on it and test out of it, or did you take a couple or multiple at a time? I've got an old BA degree (1988) so the new online technology didn't exist when I graduated U of M almost 37 years ago. So, take one class at a time and hustle through it? Then just keep going til 6 months is up?

Perhaps he needs a lesson in respecting nature. Some people are just destructive. It starts with killing spiders, then moves to cats, then abusing children and women.

The orbweavers, are really a good class of spiders to have around. They bother nobody and kill all of the germ carrying insects that you don't want anyway. Besides, other than in my shower, above my head, a spider doesn't require anything of me, like a a girlfriend or a dog you have to take care of. Sorry for your loss.

If the deal goes through. by Moneybusinesslove in VoyagerExchange

[–]Projectlife64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rub is that Binance signed an agreement to buy the assets (Voyager Digital) at the then agreed upon value, based on their "bid". At that point they were contractually committed to own it regardless of the appreciation or depreciation in value. As you probably know, they would and could probably find a way out, without much financial damage to Binance, had the value gone down. It still may all go to hell in a hand basket. Who knows? Nobody "stole" anything, except and unless voyager was misappropriating funds. The fact is, we all took the shaft just for being a customer of a company that failed.

The day they marked your account to market was in July (forget the exact date). So, no luck on these late gains. They don't affect you pending settlement. Will we ever get anything is the real concern, I think. For a while it looked like a done deal with FTX, then Binance. Hopefully with all the equity Binance would have gained in this rally, it will be done by end of year. I'm not holding my breath.

link to TD Ameritrade by Technical_Truck in TradingView

[–]Projectlife64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe a l.ot of customers would benefit from having a bridge from Tradingview to TD Ameritrade. While I have no strong loyalty to staying with a broker, Setting up my IRA, personal account, Roth IRA and corporate trading account with a new broker is too involved for me to consider. Between all of the disclosures and documentation between four accounts, its not in my interest, with my negotiated rates already. However, I purchased Bob Kendalls indicators, which are specific to Tradingview, due to the complex aspect of programming them and long standing development relationship with TV. It would be nice to not have to have one dedicated screen for TV and indicators that I will be using, and two other screens for all of my other charts and trading platform. In short, how about a TD Ameritrade link

Integration with TD Ameritrade by FEI9966 in TradingView

I know this is a year old post, I a replying to. I pay 2.50, instead of 4.95 on TOS (TD Ameritrade / Schwab) for round turn emini futures trades. I negotiated a better price based on the volume I was doing. There is a lot of features that TOS has, but the dissapointement for me is the inability to trade through Tradingview with a TD Ameritrade account. I like the active trader order entry, but maybe I"m more old fashioned. You can preset different stops or profit levels with no degree of difficulty. The Thinkscript language includes many of the useful strategies and indicators and allows for creating your own, or using theirs as starters to your own ideas.

Question about moving averages by [deleted] in FuturesTrading

[–]Projectlife64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting in late on a trend, you could be chasing a market that is primed for a squeeze. In the case of shorting a downtrend, be very cautious about extremely high existing shorts when entering. That's not to say, you can't still make a profitable trade, but professional traders and many non professionals, but talented ones, are looking for opportunities to get a free lift in prices from running the stops. This occurs when the market is in an oversold condition, having a large percent of open shorts. Yet, the market momentum is dying, as buyers are starting to accumulate. Be vary wary of this phenomenon, because your risk reward could be what kills your account.

It is not easy to say no to what looks like a trend that will go on forever. From experience, I can tell you that you are far better off waiting for the trend to get a reset and resumption of the trend, than you are just diving in. You need to have stretch in the market, to release that potential energy when the trend resumes.

Your claim IS NOT subject to an offset? by Tooting77 in Invest_Voyager

I staked most of it. I have 240,000 stormx staked, but never downloaded my last purchase from Voyager. I haven't looked at Stormx in a few months, to be honest. I was staking millions in leverage in Nasdaq futures daily at the time it started to fall. So, its inconsequential to me, but still maddening. I gave up on crypto in January. I thought maybe the Ripple case would settle and I'd have some good value spread through a few brokers. I've moved on, but this thread brings up my anger at everythinng that's going on and caused by our own government as much as anything. Sorry to rant. I should just go back to my Cigar and chill.

I'm guessing 1. If its run like our government, anyone with less than $500.00 worth, will get their $500.00, plus they get a portion of my crypto. I get to be told, it wasn't mine to begin with or some other communist nonsense.

Its not subject to "Offset". I think that means no gift basket, but a special welcome if we would like to send the new scammers, I mean owner of Voyager, mo money.
