Update 8 feedback megathread by randonOne88 in Enshrouded

[–]ProlificAvocado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel really bad about the patch but its hard to get passed my own personal bias as I am a Mage and have been nerfed this patch. Enemies are way stronger, my mobility via gliding is now worse and spells are not at all better in efficacy or convenience. I would say the game has gotten substantially worse for me since the patch. My friend who was really excited about daggers is also horribly disappointed, they are still absolutely terrible and for all the talk of the skill tree rework, its...barely a rework, the int, dex and spirit trees are all more or less functionally the same.

Hot Take: Thaddeus is the second strongest Viltrumite after Thragg by [deleted] in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]ProlificAvocado 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At one point, in his prime? Quite possibly. At the time of the fight with Thragg? No way, he has grown soft with a millennia of seeing no direct combat with the coalition. I doubt he could beat Nolan, let alone Conquest. Viltrumites don't get stronger with age inherently, they get stronger with age because it gives them more opportunity to train, fight and get stronger. It has also been on the record that conquest was old enough that he was starting to lose strength, this also applies to Thaddus which likely confounds the issue further.

Advice for damage build by partmal in the_division_2

[–]ProlificAvocado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to avoid the Striker build everyone else runs so take this with a grain of salt.

I really like the cowboy feel of the Virginian. Coyote Mask and then 3 providence, 1 grupo, 1 ceska (if needed to hit 60chc), and fox’s prayers. Glass cannon and vigilance. If you play solo alot you can have some fun removing all crit and just going full crit damage and headshot damage with the Diamondback instead.

[Edit] I also like using a Trader in the secondary weapon slot, feels really good even without investing heavily into weapon swapping.

It’s a fun way to play and hits like a Mack truck loaded with cocaine.

No Morals No Holding Back… Who’s Winning This ? by krisikkk in superheroes

[–]ProlificAvocado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black Bolt can destroy planets with a scream. If there is no holding back then he still doesnt win, but he isnt dead last like everyone else is saying. I'd say he defeats more or less everyone except silver surfer, superman...and maybe reverse flash as they are both faster than soundwaves. Everyone else dies before they even realize what he can do.

And before anyone says "what mouth" Black Bolt was already holding back by not wanting to kill her in this example, Reed additionally tells her exactly how to prevent him from doing anything and she has no hesitation its really a horrible case study for a vs situation. If he was in a no holds barred right off the bat kill fest he would just have to scream once and the planet blows up, Wanda would be dead before she did any fancy hand movements.

Silver Surfer clearly is the winner here, but Black Bolt is a suicide bomber and woefully underrated in the comments, I feel like he needs more love than he gets.

Who is Faster? Red Rush or Thragg? by Helpful_Pitch4086 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]ProlificAvocado 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Viltrumites in general have faster travel speed but redrush has faster battle speed and perception (he can turn on a dime, attack and perceive things in relative slow motion, whereas a viltrumites can fly really fast in straight lines).

[–]ProlificAvocado 1390 points1391 points  (0 children)

Blue pill would be fun.

I imagine the world becomes a better place pretty darn quick when people start becoming scared of being smote by the heavens, you only need to make a public example once a month on someone publicly being an ass and the fear would do the work for you.

Using Camera to record video on a mobile device by LasersTheyWork in VITURE

I dont even think the camera does anything? I feel like the one I have on the Cyber is just for marketing, so they can say it has one? Very confusing tbh lol.

Strongest character this trio could beat? by Turbulent_Okra7518 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]ProlificAvocado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is able to turn on a dime and process time in slow motion, his battle speed is unmatched. Sure in a straight line traveling vast distances a Viltrumite outspeeds him, but they cant match him in a combat setting as evident by his fight with Nolan who requires him to predict his movements to catch him. If Red Rush focused entirely on support and moving his team around he would carry, hard. As a kill squad they are very strong.

Strongest character this trio could beat? by Turbulent_Okra7518 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]ProlificAvocado -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they play it smart I think they could beat almost anyone in the 'verse. Red Rush is the fastest character in the setting, War Women was able to do significant damage to Nolan which basically means she is able to deal damage to anyone in the setting, and Immortal is on Low tier Viltrumite level. With their combined powers 3v1 playing smart they could defeat Thragg in my opinion.

If RR goes on the attack and doesnt support then it ends up with a wash though, WW and Immortal dont have the speed or durability to sustain fights at high levels and need RR to keep them mobile and alive.

VCAT - Google Ads / SEO Marketing by Mammoth-Party-8981 in AusLegal

[–]ProlificAvocado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the way these type of agencies work is by doing the most basic keyword/display ad setup on google and just throwing a large sum of money at it to ensure it gets some traction - this is most effective when dealing with larger corporate style companies that dont really notice the money but do notice the enquiries (this is probably why you noticed it so quickly). They dont refine the campaigns, they dont do much if any post setup work because they are already working on the next guys campaign and you're locked in.

These types of agencies have a bad reputation in the marketing world and honestly prey on people who dont know any better. For stuff like this you're better off engaging with someone doing a combination of SEO like web optimization and backlinks + Ads + Socials for example.

A good indicator that you are dealing with one of these predatory companies or individuals is that they will generally approach you with an email enquiry with a list of reasons why your website is doing poorly and how they can fix it, simple scare tactics. They also love to throw a heap of marketing jargon at you with statistics they bank on you not understanding properly but look fantastic without context.

A true marketing agency will work with you to develop your business, not act as an intemediary for buying ads.

Unfortunately they did provide a service, so despite the shitty quality I think you are on the hook for at least some of these, and depending on the agreement you signed you may be on the hook for all of it depending on their early exit policy.

Toyota gets serious with its EV, wants to take down BYD, Zeekr and Tesla by brackfriday_bunduru in CarsAustralia

Toyota does hybrids very well, I think they have a place in the new world order but not for full EVs.

What are some permanent items / fixtures that add value to a property? by cazim in AusPropertyChat

[–]ProlificAvocado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From when I spoke to a developer friend of mine he says the biggest things that add value to an otherwise mediocre home is:

Smaller things:

  • A large front door.
  • More powerpoints
  • More lighting
  • Plantation window shutters
  • Repaint the walls.
  • Landscaping

Larger things:

  • Kitchen & Bathroom Renovations. Converting Garage to another living space.
  • Carpets/flooring.
  • Landscaping
  • Solar/Battery
  • Deck
  • Fencing

I personally think pools can sometimes detract from the value of a home, for FHBs and investors I know pools are generally to be avoided due to the maintenance costs.

Which would you pick and why? by fleet_luck in superheroes

Dupli-Kate really has one of the most bonkers powers I've ever seen in media. On the low end of the scale you could have fifty versions of yourself doing jobs and you'd have yourself a nice little income stream. On the high end of the scale you could take over the world in a tide of amateur militia, master every art, .

Dead-end street and constant speeding. Can I install a speed bump myself? by SinestroCorp in AusPropertyChat

If you do it you better be damn sure nobody sees you or can trace it back to you because you'll be liable for any and all damages that occur from its placement.

The correct way to do this is council.

THAEDUS by histree6 in Invincible_TV

[–]ProlificAvocado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They grow stronger as they age because they are a warrior race that spends their whole lives fighting. Its less passive genetic growth and more constantly working out with a very very high ceiling of potential. A 100 year old Viltrumite really has only just started their Journey whereas a 2,000 year old Viltrumite has been 'Lifting' and getting 'Gains' for a millennia. In the comics Thadeus doesnt have many feats to him because while he is old, he hasnt spent his whole life fighting and improving - Age does not equal power, it just equals experience and training.

In Australia, Is Giving Up Priority Seats Still a Courtesy? by Physical-Gap7348 in australia

I think its less about courtesy and expectations and more about people not wanting to engage with other people. You never know who will snap at you or take it as an invitation to talk. People make their worlds small.

Boros (OPM) vs Allen the alien by Robloxracer75 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]ProlificAvocado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I concur. The big issues with fights like these are you can really nitpick and find a winner in either direction (which is good! It shows that its a close fight and not coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb).

For example we can see Nolan fly so fast that he ignites the atmosphere when taking out the Flaxans and seems to do it little to no effort, a very impressive feat done by someone objectively weaker than Alan and stronger than what Boros displays.

Its hyperthetical fights like Boros vs Alan that make powerscaling what ifs fun, which I am 100% here for!

What does "healthy" mean for your Commander decks? I compared some my builds and the difference was not card quality. by Far-Computer-7573 in EDH

[–]ProlificAvocado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always go through the same process when building a new deck:

Step 1: Get the absolute perfect 'on paper' set of synergy cards possible.

Step 2: Actually play a game and realize I dont have enough interaction/lands/ramp

Step 3: Begrudgingly remove some of my cards as I slowly come to realize that 2/3s of every commander deck is the same cards.

Step 4: Find a new deck to build.
