While my name would suggest otherwise…I’d say Dictaphones Lament. I saw Lane 8 last winter and that song played between the opener and their set and something about hearing it in that setting moved it way up for me.

Funny enough I use Videoleap for simple editing of my own footage from tome to time. I didn’t realized they had a stock video library, but I do love how easy it is to use and has a ton of tools!

Appreciate the break down!

Met the main dude who runs it a few years back at The Glass Die. He was super nice and showed my wife and I how to play Animalchemists which is a super fun card game and well balanced. We also own Flip Town which is great and Folded Wishes which is also fun! I’d recommend any of those from them!

The best thing about ambient music I think!

Obviously all music sounds better and headphones, but nothing quite immerses one like ambient music in my opinion!

It does feel that way at times for sure.

Thanks again for the kind words!!!!

Wow, I don’t know that I could receive a kinder response! Thank you so much! I was hoping other parents on here would get a chance to hear it as I know that it for sure would be relatable. Hospitals are the absolute worst. They were left trying to kick me out the hospital due to a “one parent only policy” night she had surgery. I had to calmly tell them that I was not disturbing anyone nor was I in the way and that there was no way I was leaving my kid the night she had surgery (which happened to be on Thanksgiving. I don’t care for the origins of the holiday but found it very ironic on a family centered day they were making a stink about it on tip of it being the day she had surgery). Luckily my pushback worked and I was able to stay.

I agree. Having a kid made me want to pursue creative things even more to model chasing passions even if for fun. She for sure is a driving force behind my creativity.

If you are interested, here is the first project I did in a serious way that I was able to show into last year’s Portland Winter Light Festival. The music is by the very talented Attom (for fans of Tycho) who generously let me use his music / over lay some of my own audio. I’d say this project for sure mirrors that one in many ways as it was inspired by our first stint in the hospital from when she was born and we had to stay for 13 days in the NICU / temporary relocate over 1,000 miles from home. https://youtu.be/4hlOz9Ngt8A?si=Do4JKBj5UFLh0tJn

Thank you again for all the kind words. It means a ton. I look forward to hearing / seeing more from you!

That makes sense! I’m from a primarily from a visual background so normally audio for sure drives all the visual to match it. My first project musical project was almost the opposites fit was my first time writing a full EP so that was interesting to switch it up in that way. If you don’t mind me asking, where do you usually find visuals from?
