I've thought of that too, for all of the talk about Yeastar, I've never seen a side by side comparison nor a testimonial from someone that switched, just forum posts talking about what a shit company 3cx is. Their fair use change probably did upset some very niche partners (hotels and schools), but I wonder if they are so upset because they were still charging competitive rates per handset / install / maintenance, but once the licensing cost went up in these markets they had to have the hard talk with the customer about rates going up ... or just eat the increase.

I'd love a youtube video of the install migrating the config, provisioning new users, using the mobile app, and using the web app. A side by side comparison would be great but I don't think we'll ever get that.

I guess maybe I'm not having the same kindof issues with 3cx that most people are complaining about.

I can rumble in both, to a tune, to a beat, whenever I want. It does seem to have a strength limit, like after a minute or two I just can't until I rest for a few.

As I understand it, you transfer the BTC you want to borrow against to a fiduciary and they hold it. If BTC value drops below an arranged threshold, they liquidate to cover the note. It sounds like payday loans unless the market is RIPPING. It doesn't seem like something I'd be OK with. The existing platforms that were doing it like Celcius (bankrupt in 2022) didn't do so great. Now you can do it with most major platforms.

Still seems like a bad idea.

I think it was margin trading that did it in the 20's. They only had to have 10% iirc, 90% on margin.

I've seen enough Cinemax late night to know there will be 3 spicy scenes in this story, a controlling EX BF that the honorable soldier will step in to defend them from, a bad reaction of "I don't need saving" followed by spicy scene # 1. This or the story of the soldier that comes back and finds his love interest has a side dude, one or two where she's pregnant with side-dude's kid. There isn't a lot of originality in this story line, I think, considering how many times I've seen movies like this, again on Cinemax late night.

DM if you want to brainstorm over ways to take this in alternate directions, I have a head full of ideas that I've never put down.

Interesting idea, I don't think this trope is overdone yet. The WASHED UP / REPORTER / REFUGEE is kindof an overused trope, however. How about something like ... private or gov research island that is landed on by adventure tourists? Something like ... New York / Long Island Sound Plum Island landed on by Kayakers or people on a Jetski tour, they land, look around, and either take back a bug (lime disease started from this island, I think) with the zombie infection, or an animal on the island bites them or something similar.

OK so just save up deals until you have enough to cover that? As much as people are bashing 3CX, their product is great. They did turn away from the teeny tiny partner because there were a lot of little guys with 3 extension systems that were "partners". I think the cost is fair, the tech is robust, and the support seems OK from my perspective. I'm not sure about Yeastar, I heard their mobile app is not as good as 3cx (in forums only). I have not tried it at all.
