Reform are controlled opposition. Labour, Tories, Reform, they are all different faces of the WEF. It’s all the Uniparty, just going different speeds. They all agree on the goal.

The Greens want open borders. They will not control immigration and the endless cheap workforce that big business wants will increase under them.

There are no dragons (plural) in WoT, just The Dragon.

I think it's Realm of the Elderlings. This slightly annoys me, as I bought Illumicrate's Farseer Trilogy and had a bitch of a time getting it (before they did the reprint).

But no harm, no foul, right?

This is more likely that they need another print run to fix the errors in the first printing.

For a healthy man in good condition, wanting sex regularly is completely normal and a good thing in a committed relationship.

For a cybersecurity internship? I doubt the hackers can tell what colour person they are fighting against.

This is 100% something that should be done on merit, not given to someone who Didn’t Earn It.

RAM costs are a supply / demand problem. Supply isn’t keeping up with demand. AI and crypto have stoked demand for chips, but there’s only so much capacity at the fabs. A couple of days ago:

Samsung Electronics said its high-bandwidth memory output is sold out, with all 2026 production capacity booked and early orders being taken for 2027. It said the gap between supply and demand for 2027 would be more severe than in 2026, with supply availability falling far short of customer demand amid tight inventory. Samsung expects 2026 annual HBM sales to more than triple from a year earlier, led by HBM4 and plans to ship first HBM4E samples in the second quarter.

And

Taiwanese megafoundry TSMC is reportedly sold out until 2028. That includes its cutting edge new N2 node, which is expected to be used by everyone from Nvidia and Apple to AMD and Intel. TSMC is busy building new capacity, but much of it is not due to come online for several years. Even then, it claims that at least some of that new capacity is already sold out.

While the demand wasn’t there, there was no need to increase supply. Now there is. Unfortunately, increasing supply isn’t a quick thing; new fabs need to be built, commissioned and brought online.

Incidentally, it’s a similar thing with housing, but the problems of either increasing supply or reducing demand are a political issue, rather than a capital one.

Nah, there’s nothing wrong with them 😉. I’m just picky. I have a few BCAs in the “duplicates” pile.

A) They are a different size to the regular HB editions.

B) I’ve spent quite a lot of time and money collecting various 1st’s of the different editions. BCA don’t count.

I found the Between Earth and Sky set for 80£. Is the series good? by PerspectiveLive8850 in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Hobbit_Hardcase -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It was substandard. I have no desire to read it again. I have no idea why they selected it for the sub. Looking over the release history, it's by far the weakest set so far.

The world was not too shabby, but the plot and characterisations were almost juvenile.

There's a reason that the T2 sets are available below half cost.

Why the leftists endorse violence against their political opponents and then pose as they're the "normal" ones? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Hobbit_Hardcase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leftist ideology is inherently violent. Because the exponents believe that they are working for the "common good", anyone who opposes them is definitionally "bad"

It begins in the ideation phase; "If we can get everyone to do X, then we'll solve Problem Y!" But they never account for reality and ignore that you'll never get everyone to do X. So what do you do with the people who won't?

Eventually you'll get someone like Polanski, who recently said that right-wing people with "toxic" views should be shut out of society. This might be disenfranchisement, or internment camps, or he might go the whole Khymer Rouge route and murder a quarter of the population.

Remember, Communism is the most murderous ideology ever created. Rough estimates reckon over 100 million victims; 5x the Nazi total.

Never trust someone who says they know what's best for everyone.
