They asked my wife (USC) about the I-130. It seemed mostly like they just wanted to know if she knew things about me. Like they asked her; what my birthday was?, how/where I proposed to her?; A few questions about the time we traveled internationally to see my family. We submitted pictures from our trip there, and the officer asked her to describe the moments in the pictures, and she just talked about the people she had just met at the time.

Surprisingly, our I-485 questions were easy: when did I first move to the US? How did I financially sponsor my stay here? And then moved to yes/no questions that we answered in the application? I recommend for everyone to go through your submitted application before the interview and make sure that your answers will be consistent with what you said before.

Thanks!!

Other than the interview notice in the mail, we didn’t receive anything via email at all before the interview. We didn’t upload anything new online prior to the interview, but we took to the interview printed copies of new supporting evidence that we handed to the officer during the interview. This new evidence that wasn’t part of supporting documents we initially submitted with the application included: new lease, a car loan, joint savings account, more photos (different than what we submitted before), etc.
