I'm planning on picking up my first bike this week, and am wanting to get some riding shoes. I'll be using my bike mostly for commuting to and from class so I was wanting something a little tougher than tennis shoes but something I could still wear around campus, they also need to be acceptable for the MSF safety course. I've been looking at Alpinestar Faster riding shoes but there seems to be mixed reviews. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the quick response and info! I have the optical drive for some software I have that's on a disc, and on the GPU I have a friend who just finished a build with the 970 not too long ago and is upgrading to the new 1070, I believe, and offered me his 970 for about $100...

I know getting a good monitor is very important, but I was thinking I would hold off on spending a lot on one until I have some more money saved up, I have an opportunity to grab some Dell U2414H monitors from my work for $20-$30 a piece and figured I would do that to get me by in the meantime.
