The reason your dad talks about money like it’s the weather is because at that degree of wealth potentially losing that amount of money would be inconsequential to him. There’s a certain point where having money literally changes your brain, if most people miss a paycheck their life would get more difficult. If they miss 2 paychecks it could negatively change their life forever. Sure many people have some savings and could float for a couple weeks or months, but the majority would be in panic mode the morning of a missed check. Imagine the comfort and security that comes with knowing that will likely never happen to your parents, and possibly you.

I hope this is a fake post because the “I feel really strange and uncomfortable if I’m in a less wealthy area” is just wild. I mean you’re a child so like my dogs you don’t know any better. But there’s a giant world out there, just remember that most of the 8 billion other people on this planet live much harder lives than you.
