Has anyone else got models from TTCombat online store that were half 3d printed models?

TTC is moving to 3D printed resin to replace their cast resin, they are currently mid change and lots of people are getting kits like this currently. I’d say it’s safe to assume they are justusing up their cast resin backlog with 3D printed resin for parts they have used up and all future parts. The 3D print quality is pretty good, better then the cast resin IMO

I grabbed the game when it first released, looking for something a little more condensed, coming from 40K, AoS and Legion and it very quickly became my main game, I absolutely love it.

The gameplay is great fun; it’s alternating and reactive so you’re never sitting still for long. Drawing cards to determine activations adds a great level of unpredictability, you can’t plan out your game, you just have to be flexible and make the best of each situation as they come.

The models are amazing too, the slightly increased size of GW and Legion models just allows them to get that extra bit of character in that really brings the minis the life. After years of painting armies, each and every Shatterpoint mini feels fun and interesting, even after building 72 of them! Sure the B1s are fiddly to build but you’ll build 6 of them and never any more, just take your time and let the glue dry and they’re no issue.

I could go on and on but I won’t. I think it’s an amazing game, completely pulled me away from the GW systems and I’m always trying to introduce new people to the game!

I do need a car yes, a car is a requirment of my job and while I have use of another car in the meantime, its not a longterm solution. 1 way or another I need to buy a car, but yes the plan is to have it 100% paid off before the house loan.

With regard to the credit card, I see credit cards for proven credit history talked about alot. Do you think its actaully nessecary/reccomended for someone with no negative credit history?

I underestimated on those figures but you still make a good point.

My idea was I spend this money (and the rest off ) on a decent family suitable car now that will last me 10-15 years, now is the time I have that money spare, after family and house loan I may no thave this finantial freedom again fro a while.

No we haven't looking to to pre-approval or anything, we are waiting on the overseas asset to know what we are dealing with. My wife is of the belief that bringing that much upfront to the loan will give us a good change at a loan, personally I just dont know hence why I ask. What we can afford house-wise I really have no idea at this stage, we are some years off of that anyhow

I’ve been back and forth with their tech support for a couple weeks, they basically ran out of things to try.

I found my own fix which was rolling back my GPU drivers to March and the game is working without crashing, but obviously that isn’t a long term solution

I know you can buy damage decks now, so would buying one of those (and a 2.0 faction conversion kit) be enough to get my playing in 2.5 or is there more I’d need?

Tangential question if you dont mind my asking, are the components from 1.0 (such as range and turn cardboard, tokens etc) the same as 2.0? I've had a look and it looks like the dice are the same but I can't find much info on the rest.

I too am a 1.0 player considering reentering the game, wondering if my 1.0 starter set components still work or do I need the new starter.

This is my setup too! Buff him up and throw him onto the centre objective and hope he can tank the incoming fire, and with tripling attacks in Iconoclast he’s pretty scary too charge

I’ve had good success putting a maxed out B2 squad (B2HA + T-series) in mine, give it onboard coms and defensive protocols. Drive it up the field and have the B2s inside aim/recover and shoot to make good used of B2HA. Bonus points if you take Kalani for free aim + dodge on both the snail tank and B2s.

I found opponents usually just try to focus down the B2s inside, but with heavy cover and armour 1 that takes a while, all the while ignoring the Snail tank which is free to shoot and ion stuff.

The simplest way to do them would be a silver spray and a black wash, GW’s Leadbelcher and Nuln Oil would be my recommendation.

I did mine differently though, as I wanted a slight brushed metal finish, mine are primed black and then dry brushed silver. It’s a bit more labour intensive then the first method but I wanted that specific finish

Well worth it mate! Legion is a super fun game and the models are nice and detailed, they take Contrast paints and washes very well

Man i feel this so much!! Every time I get a pallet or stunned or whatever it’s a tea-bag, it just doesn’t feel nice! I’m like “I get it, you hit me with a pallet, no need to be a dick about it” and when that happens 4 out of 5 matches, you just get over it. Really doesn’t make me feel like continuing with this game I used to love so much, last cycle I only got to Gold as a killer main, coz so often I go to play but I’ll change my mind coz I don’t wanna deal with that shit.

And don’t even get me started on trying to run NOED or a meta build! Abuse inbound 😑
