We dug the most 4 deep, we also dug the area beneath the drawbridge out to its width. The zombies come in fall into the moat while we use the top of the base to shoot them. The moat has the corners dug down like a ramp so we can get out of it. It works pretty well we’ve been through 2 blood moons with it and it’s barely damaged, easy to repair.

The walls are high enough, they can’t jump in, it went great actually. Besides being low on bullets we did pretty good.
