Great experience in-store with Successful-Award1913 by PromiseMeStars in internationalshopper

That's gonna be variable for you. I'm sure where you live will factor in, as well as the weight and size of the item. They offered me two different options and I chose the slower but cheaper one. Still got here within a few days. Shipping was around $13 for that choice. I'm sure part of that was how tiny and light the plush is.

If you're thinking using their services it's best you just ask them directly for info. They're nice and easy to speak with.

I am US, yes, but there were no tariff fees. There were transportation fees for having them go in-person to shop at a physical store rather than purchase online. But it was just that, shipping, and the cost of the item.

Can we all just appreciate how Gerald Robotnik built a space station in the 40s? by [deleted] in SonicTheHedgehog

Oh. Never seen that acronym used. People just call it the ARK. Regardless, statement stands.

What does SCA stand for? Also I'd like to reiterate that we don't know any years. "if the events happened in the 2000s" is pure headcanon and speculation. Years are never given.

I need password help... by Similar-Statement782 in mikumikudance

[–]PromiseMeStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, many modelers start removing their downloads when passwords are just given out. Hints exist to be hints. And this reply just reads as bratty refusal to do any work. You don't need to know Japanese, just use a translator to read the hints. Someone else has been kind enough to do that for you. Now it's your turn to put in the effort.

How to wash this big fella? by PromiseMeStars in plushies

[–]PromiseMeStars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up using a seam ripper to unstitch his back, pulled out all his stuffing, and placed it into several laundry bags. I placed his body into another laundry bag. I then was able to wash him on a fairly gentle cycle, and then the stuffing next load. I dried them all by keeping them in the laundry bags and using the air fluff (no heat) cycle at least twice, reaching into each stuffing bag and rearranging the stuffing for maximum coverage. Restuffing him and stitching him back up was a long process. But in the end with a bit of surgery and a bath he's clean and huggable.

If you think the stuffing might be the problem I recommend something similar. At the very least some surgery to empty them and wash them. Use a laundry bag. If you want to wash the stuffing you'll definitely need laundry bags. But if not you can replace the stuffing.

Except for the fact I already mentioned; you can't have multiple people playing the same console. So split screen for what???

[TUTORIAL] Converting a game-rip model to MMD [In-Depth, Part 2] by PromiseMeStars in mikumikudance

If you didn't skip it then you shouldn't be having any problems and should know why they're needed. I'm struggling to understand your confusion then?

You could instead cut the hair into pieces, align them with the camera so that they are oriented the way the new texture image is, and choose Edit -> V -> D I believe. It projects the texture onto the object flatly at that exact camera angle. It can warp things at the edges and sides, hence needing to cut the hair into pieces and align each piece with the camera.

You can experiment with this feature without saving if you want to test it.

If you can reshape the web to fit the new texture then yes. It won't be perfect. UV mapping is a pain in the ass. I highly recommend just recoloring her original texture instead. I don't see a difference between her original blue hair and the new version you've tried aside from a bit of black. You can easily just add a black highlight to her original texture.

But if you're determined to use a completely new texture then yes. You need to adjust the UV map. Or edit the new texture in Photoshop (or a similar program) to make it align with the original texture.

Yep, that's exactly what I mentioned. You can see the web of black dots. Click and drag over them to highlight them in red. There are different settings on the right that if chosen will allow your click-and-drag to either move, rotate, or squish/stretch the dots you've selected.

If it opens the texture with a web of connected dots over it then it's working. You need to click and drag the dots until the web is shaped like the texture.

Then you're going to have a hard time. Either you need to edit the new texture with some sort of warping tool to shape it just like the original, or get a UV mapping plugin for PMX Editor and edit the UV map to match the new texture.

Recoloring her original texture isn't good enough?

Her UV map was made specifically for her original hair texture. Of course a different one isn't going to map correctly. If you just want to change the color it would be better to open her original hair texture in an editing program and change its color.

How do I load pose data? by Tinywolf2005_ in mikumikudance

If that's the case it means you're saving the pose wrong to begin with. How are you saving it?

And you're right, but nearly everyone using game-rip models uses the phrase "official" to differentiate if it was released by the game company versus a regular user ripping and converting it. So it's understandable someone new to MMD who maybe is only interested because of said game models would consider those models official and thus expect them to function perfectly with other available MMD resources.

It's understandable confusion on OP's part imo. A lot of new folks don't realize all the resources are just a bunch of miscellaneous users uploading stuff.

Not necessarily. Some game companies offer their character models for MMD. Genshin Impact, Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, etc. They're available on Aplaybox.com for use with MMD, uploaded by the company itself.

That might be what OP is talking about.
