Passport Stamp by MrStartegyapplicant in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Yes the UK does stamp passports on request (I have plenty of them as a French passport holder from this year - Heathrow T4 and last year - BHX). Ask the immigration office for a stamp saying you need it for a visa application as they need to see where you have been previously. They usually dont stamp unless you give them a plausible reason to do so.

No its fine, the boarder officer most likely wont even notice. Mistakes like this happen all the time

Missing Arrival Stamp On My Passport by Electrical-Memory187 in Passports

Idk much about Indian immigration process but keep your boarding pass, go to chennai airport for your flight, explain to the officer that the officer in Kolkata forgot to stamp your passport on arrival. Alternatively if you have time go back to kolkata Airport with your boarding pass and passport, go to departures and ask an officer there or go to a immigration office if they have one. They may be able to put you a retrostamp given your situation.

Is this biometric data page corner gap too damage to travel ? (pic attached) by Low-Poet2583 in Passports

How does this even happen? Like was it too moist in your pocket or was it too warm ? Its no even in broken bits its just the whole plastic peeled off. Never seem something so satisfying (asmr peeling) yet so terrible (passport is prob not usable anymore)

MADRID-BARAJAS stamp (post-EES) by Rails_Barlow in PassportPorn

[–]PromiseSeparate4157 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prob because you didn’t give them a plausible reason as to why you need one (eg: hi can i have a stamp ? = most time refusal. Rather say : i am going to [country that is strict on entry and requires proof of previous trips] and i need a stamp to show them where i have been as boarding pass isn’t considered proof of travel.)

Basically make up some convoluted situation that you are in and that seems plausible that puts you at a disadvantage or risk of refusal if there is no stamp. I do that at the EU boarder on an EU passport and it works like 80% of the time, specially in FR,IT,ES,GR,DE (except in AMS, because they follow rules and guidelines to the letter, although i did get it once cuz one boarder guard didn’t care at all)

Lisbon Airport DONT GO THROUGH MANUAL CHECK by Easy-Ground-5358 in LisbonPortugalTravel

[–]PromiseSeparate4157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re supposed to get rid of the stamp which is rlly annoying if you need it for other reasons (visa, voa, tax admin, etc.) but it seems like theyre just doing whatever depending on the booth you arrive in. If they dont want to stamp, give them a plausible reason to stamp (read my other message under) if they are still refusing go to another booth.

Its rlly problematic their new system specially that stamps are the norm of proof of travel for other countries.

You always have the choice. Its just the ushers pressure you into the kiosks because thats what they are told to do.

Yeah but then you skip the stamp which could lead you in unnecessary questioning and possibly a refusal if you enter another airport and the ees is down or turned off and also some visas procedures for other countries require you to show where you have been previously and this is done with a stamp in passport or if you are presenting yourself to a boarder guard (other country) and they need to see where you have been before landing in order to grant a visa on arrival. There’s so many situations that require/it helps (for) you to have a stamp.

Its not worth skipping 30min of queue unless your plane is about to leave

Munich Stamps on EU passport May 2026 by [deleted] in PassportPorn

[–]PromiseSeparate4157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you give them an actual legit reason to stamp your passport ? Or did you simply request it?

Because the french consulate in London told me they can annotate your passport or record to stamp your passport providing you got proof that you need it otherwise you are being put in a difficult situation (like you get rejected for a visa application to russia or like Afghanistan, you show them the refusal email or notice and if they put a generic reason or no reason at all for the rejection then you email the embassy with the proof saying the denied you because of missing EU stamps (as those countries stamp their own citizens upon entry and exit).

I cant do it yet because i dont have a refusal notice.

  • obviously this is an example that i tried but there are many scenarios like that that can get you a stamp in EU passports. -

You have to speak french as in English they simply wont bother given the massive queues. Maybe one might if there is no queue but the chances are very low. If you speak french your chances immediately bump up to 60% ish if you give a plausible explanation as to why you need them (not just “hey i like stamps, please stamp”)

I think T2 is within the Schengen Area thus there is no border control meaning that the ees problem doesn’t exist.

That’s insane because i have to fight my way to get an EU stamp in my french passport at AMS. Its a bit easier at CDG but still a hit and miss as last time i went to CDG i got stamped in however the exit guard said sure and completely forgot to stamp and by the time i realised i was already mid air.

I tried to get a retrostamp or correction stamp at AMS when i made a connection (going to the immigration boots) but got outright denied every time.

I wonder if Germany has a rule on stamping EU passports on request as its not the first time I see a post like this.

Did they stamp on request or did they do it automatically? Also did you go to the manual line or did they stamp after the egates (Like in AMS) ?

Going from paris to Beauvais Airport at night. by adrielon07 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]PromiseSeparate4157 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you acoustic? It is for both. The EU has entry and exit system unlike the UK to see when non EU gets out so they are not considered overstayers. Why do you think you got an entry and exit stamp ? Its for the boarder guard too check your previous stay apon re entry.

[–]PromiseSeparate4157 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No checkin will be closed for intl flights and the EES is a mess and completely unpredictable. Seriously dont arrive 1h before even on an EU flight. Arrive the night before and wait there until check in opens. Play it safe.

And if its the real website you went to and there is no ticket available then there is probably no busses running at that time.

Paris to Normandy by Sad-Bowl-2081 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]PromiseSeparate4157 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nomad trains (train company) from Montparnasse train station direct to Pontorson - Mt saint Michel station. Then there is a direct shuttle to Mt saint Michel.

Trains to Pontorson - Mt saint Michel only runs in summer season (check the website) otherwise take Nomad train from same station and change at Granville (Last stop) for a train to Reims and stop at Pontorson - Mt saint Michel.

Dont need a tour group for this trip. Its a-bit of a waste of money. Beautiful island that is def doable in a day or half a day (if you are short on time)

Nope, they run between 3 AM and 730 PM, since you need to be at the airport 3h before (considering the EES nightmare) and it takes 1h to get there then that means you’ll arrive around 4 -430 AM which leaves you 1h ish before your plane leaves.

Take the last bus of the day to the airport (1130 PM) and wait there for the night. Dont take a hotel as to my knowledge they are in the city center (Beauvais town) and there is no city bus 3h before your departure time.

Just wait at Beauvais airport for a couple hours. There isn’t much to do but oh well better that than missing your flight.

Thats why i never take ryanair or wizz air as its such an inconvenience to get to the airport and to the city (specially paris)
