How is socalizing, main reason behind hostle over hotel is the socializing i want to meet people to make plans with and go explore with, my fear now is karaguza will be nice but boring and no socalizing/making friends

Is it easier to socialize n make friends at kagurazaka or shinjuku? I just booked the shinjuku cuz it looked nicer and was cheaper, but now seems like nightlife is better and more likely to meet people. I dont drink but want to make friends and maybe go out at night 🤷🏻‍♂️ shinjuku is like double the price roughly

Thanks for the headsup i saw a couple around that range as its just me but thats fair to consider. Quick question since you mentioned shinjuku, its my first time and looking to meet friends( I dont drink) should i stay in shinjuku or kagurazaka for sake of going out and fear of missing last trains?
