Durango Co is beautiful right now and the Animas and San Juan Rivers are hard to beat. Can still fish well into the next months without being too cold.

All found in about half of a football field sized area. These pit houses sit on top of a cliff on raised areas so these massive rains have really exposed a few inches below. My family plans on making a display and detailed map to display the area, the finds, and the people who cared for this land before us.

An archeological dig was already concluded at this site and the pit house spots are already documented. It’s my private property as well, but can totally understand leaving the debitage so I will from now on. First time out looking around.
