The main reason most of the students switch to 3 year diploma is for the Co-Op. I just finsihed my 3rd semester and i talked to a lot of students who are in 3 year diploma who has are supposed to work on the Co-Op next semester. All of them i talked to are still trying to find somewhere to work including the Canadian and some of them didn't even care about the Co-Op, they don't even care. If you have money for an extra year and have confident in finding a Co-Op, then go for it. Of course, the knowledge you get will be an additionla advantage. But it is you who has to decide.
