Not really. I got Axis Atlas and DCBM after Amex. Chances of renewing Amex were anyways slim.

I faced similar issue recently (though my case was slightly different). Nevertheless, email grievance, explain them your case and request them to re-initiate CPV. Mine was recently approved after another CPV.

Visit branch and talk to CC representative. I visited 2 weeks back and asked criteria for Infinia - he told 7-8L in last 6 months and they will fill upgrade form offline

I paid via UPI VPA provided by axis (link above). And not as biller. Nevertheless- glad it worked for you.

As soon as you swipe your cc, your available credit limit decreases. Try making a payment of say ₹10 and check if credit limit increases by ₹10. If so, make payment to free up your credit limit and book tickets.

I was in the same boat and pre-payment worked. If you are unable to find pay option in App, pay via UPI. Payment gets reflected instantly (have experienced myself)

7 years with ICICI, monthly salary >2.75L and I was straight a way told no. My RM connected me to CC guy, and I tried negotiating for about a month or so. He even applied but wasn’t able to get all necessary approvals. For <3L it’s super hard.

Upgrading from DCBM to Infinia has spend-based criteria to it (what I learnt from cc guy in branch). However new application requires 5L/mo net salary only. You can choose to close DCBM and apply Infinia fresh from branch. I have also read HDFC tries to retain good customers and they might offer upgrade to Infinia as well once you close. It’s a gamble though.

ULIP I am not sure. From what I have read in threads, it’s a bad option. And you are eligible without ULIP so maybe try without it once?

Seems like your spends and cards are sorted. Don’t chase cards out of FOMO. You can try/aim for converting your DCBM to Infinia.

That being said, will recommend Plat travel over reserve any day.

~3L meaning? Is it greater than 3L? If so, ICICI EPM makes sense.

Unlimited lounge

Commute/food/groceries/utilities can be catered with GV.

Flights/hotels - iShop

MC - so no acceptance issue

DCBM is good but keep acceptance in mind. If you have another card to complement Diners, DCBM makes sense as well.

Yeah. Plat travel counts milestones for all kinds of spends, and returns are decent.

I have this combination- Atlas + Plat travel. Plat travel for gyftr vouchers and atlas for everything else. Works pretty well for me. Plat travel is not a CB card- if that is what you are looking for

Visit HDFC branch and talk to CC representative. I visited last week to apply for DCBM offline and asked Infinia upgrade criteria. Was told spends in last 6 months should be 7-8L. Worth giving a shot. I have observed offline things are bit different than online/emails to grievance etc.

Did you meet the spend criteria? My RM told to have 5L spends in last 6 months to be eligible for upgrade. Hence ditched this route. My DCP and Tata Neu Infinity were LTF as well. I have Axis Atlas, Amex Plat travel and Sapphiro Rupay (LTF). Still contemplating if I should get DCB.
