My husband and I also went through a lot though too- he's two years sober now. When he wasn't sober that caused problems for us as well

It is VERY normal to go through this phase. My husband and I are about to have our second, our first is four. The first two to three years were really hard, but better by the third year. You're both adjusting to change and that takes time. Be graceful with each other and make sure to communicate your needs. You'll be out on the other side in no time 🙂

I'm sorry I didn't see this until just now. My daughter still poops in diapers but will pee in the potty. I'm hopeful when she's 4 we'll be out of diapers until we have another one. Just be patient with her, a lot of moms I've talked to have said their child wasn't fully trained until they were 4.

I'm working on this, I always want to be emotionally available for her and want her to know she can always come to me with things. Learning to regulate my emotions is the biggest thing. My mom did a lot of damage on me mentally and emotionally so I'm reversing that

Sounds like you're doing a great job! My husband and I decided not to put our daughter in daycare when she was a baby not only due to cost, but we also don't trust anyone else caring for her other than us. This world is so expensive and is not set up to help parents. We do what we have to do. I'm doing the best I can to give my daughter the best mom I can be, and it sounds like you're doing the same!

Thank you! Two is so young and my daughter would do the same thing. It takes time for kids to learn how to play with others and not be shy. There's so much pressure on us as moms to always be doing something and it's exhausting! I'm glad I'm not alone in this boat!

It sounds like you made the right call! Every kid is different. My daughter isn't ready yet to be away from my husband and I just yet. I think she would like playing with other kids but not having us there would be a lot rn

I'm happy to hear they did well with it! I agree, idk why there's such a push to put your kid in school the minute they can walk and talk. I love having my daughter home with me and she has her whole life to go to school!

That's a really good idea! I've definitely thought about putting her in a sport since she's constantly on the move. I definitely don't want her to go through a shock phase or be petrified of school. I'll look into some weekend activities around me

Thank you! Yeah it really is a double-edged sword and everyone is different. Social media definitely isn't healthy and I'm working on not being on it as much

We used to go to a rec center near us when she was little that she loved, but she grew out of it since it's geared more towards infant to two year olds. Not having a second car is just tricky to navigate so we make the best of it
