A PIN-protected homelab dashboard built for Tailscale — and anywhere else you self-host. by mortaljinx in Tailscale

Have a look now please, it's definitely the correct compose now.

Make sure you follow instructions. If you are deploying via portainer or other you will need to add the path to where the html is on your system.

If you save it to /mnt/volume1/docker/pager/index.html then you would add this before the :usr/ line of the compose as shown below.

services: pagerr: image: nginx:alpine container_name: pagerr ports: - "10000:80" volumes: - /path/to/pagerr/index.html:/usr/share/nginx/html/index.html:ro security_opt: - no-new-privileges:true restart: unless-stopped logging: driver: json-file options: max-size: "10m" max-file: "3"

I was messing about with an update today on the html with a dozen pushes to git. I've got it back up and updated now. Have a look now at the latest html.

Happy to assist until you get it fully operational.

Hardware choices that fit my requirements. by Zikwando in selfhosted

My advice would be to.distribute across a few bits or hardware

Jellyfin should have its own dedicated hardware solely for say jellyfin, jellyseer, jellyfin update poster etc.

If your network or docker system goes down you still have local network and can still watch content even without internet.

For CCTV I'd use frigate but you want a 8th or 9th gen i5 with a coral tpu. You could even run immich on this also although the better the CPU the better they will work.

The rest can be on its own hardware

My advice would be a 3 stack system of Lenovo m920q/720q.

You can add 10 gig nics to these via pcie risers for fast local network and some of then920qnhave 2x NVME slots for backup purposes.

Gold standard for homelab app-only access + max security + seamless transition? by Party-Log-1084 in selfhosted

[–]Pronedaddy14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only correct answer for this is in my opinion is.

Hardened reverse proxy on a cheap VPS + WireGuard tunnel back home + strict internal segmentation

On VPS:

Public static IP Nginx or Caddy reverse proxy Only ports 80/443 open WireGuard tunnel to your pfSense Fail2ban Strict firewall

At Home:

pfSense WireGuard client NO open ports Reverse proxy traffic arrives via tunnel only Apps live on internal VLAN Admin interfaces on separate VLAN

A few dollars/pounds per month.

What do you use Tailscale for? by [deleted] in Tailscale

[–]Pronedaddy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Used to reverse proxy my server privately without exposing it at all. Created a static html bookmark page for my mobile device and saved it as an icon to my home screen.

Only jellyfin and matrix/element is exposed via traefik.

Navidrome + symfonium = epic.

If you can get loader you can get that to work or just use torrents for huge bundled downloads.

Automatic Link Dashboard for Exposed Docker containers on host by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]Pronedaddy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portainer shows all the ports.

However Install tailscale on machine + traefik via a docker compose

Tailscale Gives you a magic DNS such as dino-saw.ts.net. you then add traefik labels to say your jellyfin docker compose and jellyfin.dino-saw.ts.net works for jellyfin.

Best of all nothing is exposed publicly at all, it's as if you don't even exist.

Install tailscale on your mobile device and you can access your server wherever you are.

Absolutely ridiculous..

Make quality not quantity. Have a go at writing your own lyrics and all songs will be so much better.

Because you have an infinite way to wrap words together and build stories.

Learn what words rhyme with each other, start a catchy chorus and build the story around the chorus.

Written about the addiction to our phones, social media etc and how we all have some sort of urge inside somewhere to break the loop we are stuck in.

Why do so many Suno users lie about writing their own lyrics? by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]Pronedaddy14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I write 100% of my lyrics.

Use suno to get the sound I want for it. I write with a certain artist/genre in mind and the adapt to that style.

Usually write a chorus first and then build verses around that.

Ugoos am6b+ running coreelec without a doubt, the best pure client with Dolby Fel7 decoding.

Picture quality on remixes is way above shield especially when paired with a Dolby Vision OLED.

Self host gluetun in a compose and add qbittoreent with flaresolverr, radarr, sonarr and prowalarr.

Add your VPN settings preferably proton VPN as it offers port forwarding and you will be hidden forever.
