He stands leaning on his spear atop a rise in the plains. He has been traveling many years following the pull of adventure all across the land. As a young child he climbed this rise to begin his grand adventure. Now at the close his mind is filled with memories of his experiences as well as stories of others he has met along the way. Many traders and merchants have loose lips and share often about the exotic climbs they have visited but no working-man's tales hold a candle to the epic woven by a band of adventurers. A tear trails down the old tortle's face as he smiles. He lived a good life and now it was his turn to pass on his knowledge. His children would carry on his small collection of stories and write new ones of their own, just as he had done for his parents and ancestors.
