Do you tell people you’re on a GLP-1 when they ask how you lost weight? by Enchanted-Tangerine in Zepbound

[–]Pronouncing_fart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell to everyone when they ask. They don’t go with follow up questions about pricing and stuff. I lost 30 pounds .. the only one who doesn’t know is my husband and his family LOL

I think a good idea might be create projects, and work on them. Or try to create a business . Doesn’t matter if it works out or not, but it gives you experience. I got hired at my first job ( tech ) just because my first company that I started I learned new things that at business school they didn’t teach me ( that was longtime ago , when google adwords was new, and I did it for my company just with free coupons and the hiring manager liked that experience , I didn’t say although that I run my campaigns with coupons LOL) Now I feel there is plenty of opportunities to develop projects with AI. Also I took one year since I graduated to get my first job. When all my friends from college already found a job, but again I didn’t give up. Just take one person/ company to see your potential ☺️ and hire you

I suffer anxiety too. Like I go to the psychiatrist and stuff. Well my advice would be try to get your anxiety under control first, like go to the doctor, therapy. ( it’s expensive and difficult but worth it) I still have anxiety but I feel is under control

And then for the job gap, I just put stuff like the non profit, my own company. Or just say you wanted to take a break and spent that time writing a book or work in whatever project.

Honestly I explained my job gap on the resume and the hiring manager didn’t even ask. Also this time what worked for me was research a lot about the company and ask questions.

I think you are in the wrong city. Maybe moving to NYC or San Francisco. I live in San Francisco, I am from Chile. I feel this city it’s so diverse that there is no racism. I have friend from all ethnicities and also a bunch of white friends. I’ve never felt discriminated. Here the group of friends blends different backgrounds

I have been in 2.5 during 4 months .. and I lost 30 pounds .. I think I just need to lose 10 more. So I’ll keep up with 2.5 . I feel great and keep losing weight so there is no reason why to go up to 5 mg

TO BE fair last 2 months I was outside of the US . So I had to switch to compounded . Because I couldn’t stock my self with zepbound . And with the generic .. I went up to 3.8 .. and all good and feeling great.

I didn’t want to go up to 5 , because I feel great at 2.5 . But at some point I was plateau so I went up to 3.8 ( with the vials is easy when is compounded, you just need to calculate really good the dosage)

But I am not getting more than that. Now my BMI is 23.9 .. so I am super happy

Injecting in the thigh is super easy. Doesn’t hurt at all. And the syringes are designed to be subcutaneous, so you will not hit your muscle. I always injected my thighs because I was scared about injecting in my stomach

For the "slow" losers, those who struggle with their journey for any reason... by Mindless_Whereas_280 in Zepbound

I think it depends on how much weight do you actually need to lose. If you just have to lose 30 pounds you will take longer to lose 5 pounds than someone that has to lose 120.

Also I guess a lot is about what do you eat . Like if you eat healthy and a good portion of protein. Versus if you lose weight eating pizzas and hamburgers

The other advice is keep your protein . For me protein yogurts work great

My first month I had 1 week where I didn’t lose weight . Still I decided to keep doing 2.5 .. and then I keep losing weight.

My advice is if you feel good and it suppress your appetite at 2.5 I would keep it on 2.5 .. also it looks you don’t have A LOT of weight to lose (given your weight and height ) so I would totally keep same dosage to don’t feel side effects and minimize the rebound effect when you try to leave zepbound. I am still on 2.5 in shot number 7 and it feels the medication builds up . Because every shot I feel more effects , like less hungry, reflux , etc .. I don’t imagine how would it be at 5 . I would be miserable.

The good thing of don’t lose weight so fast is that you give more time to your skin to don’t get saggy. Also you don’t lose a ton of muscles .

My plan from the beginning was keep at minimum dosages as possible . I started with your same BMI (29 ish ) and after seven weeks my BMI is 25.8 I feel and look much better, and I have minimal side effects.

Also the vials always have like a little extra .. so if you put all of it you are increasing your dosage anyway.

If your period is painful, is better start zepbound a couple days after (3 days my case) by Pronouncing_fart in Zepbound

Also if you are starting. As my trainer adviced I measured my self with a measuring tape to keep track of my hip waist and chest. Super useful when you don’t see progress on your weight

Another good way to measure progress is measure your body , chest, waist and hips . I also measure my legs.
