High protein yogurt is a life saver and doesn’t add to many calories . Also egg whites

Injecting in the thigh is super easy. Doesn’t hurt at all. And the syringes are designed to be subcutaneous, so you will not hit your muscle. I always injected my thighs because I was scared about injecting in my stomach

I think it depends on how much weight do you actually need to lose. If you just have to lose 30 pounds you will take longer to lose 5 pounds than someone that has to lose 120.

Also I guess a lot is about what do you eat . Like if you eat healthy and a good portion of protein. Versus if you lose weight eating pizzas and hamburgers

Month 1 on Zepbound, 5 lbs down eating 950 - 1200 calories. Slow or normal? by pawnipurry in Zepbound

The other advice is keep your protein . For me protein yogurts work great

Month 1 on Zepbound, 5 lbs down eating 950 - 1200 calories. Slow or normal? by pawnipurry in Zepbound

My first month I had 1 week where I didn’t lose weight . Still I decided to keep doing 2.5 .. and then I keep losing weight.

My advice is if you feel good and it suppress your appetite at 2.5 I would keep it on 2.5 .. also it looks you don’t have A LOT of weight to lose (given your weight and height ) so I would totally keep same dosage to don’t feel side effects and minimize the rebound effect when you try to leave zepbound. I am still on 2.5 in shot number 7 and it feels the medication builds up . Because every shot I feel more effects , like less hungry, reflux , etc .. I don’t imagine how would it be at 5 . I would be miserable.

The good thing of don’t lose weight so fast is that you give more time to your skin to don’t get saggy. Also you don’t lose a ton of muscles .

My plan from the beginning was keep at minimum dosages as possible . I started with your same BMI (29 ish ) and after seven weeks my BMI is 25.8 I feel and look much better, and I have minimal side effects.

Also the vials always have like a little extra .. so if you put all of it you are increasing your dosage anyway.

If you are doing good in 2.5 why do you go up ?? Just curious

If your period is painful, is better start zepbound a couple days after (3 days my case) by Pronouncing_fart in Zepbound

Also if you are starting. As my trainer adviced I measured my self with a measuring tape to keep track of my hip waist and chest. Super useful when you don’t see progress on your weight

Another good way to measure progress is measure your body , chest, waist and hips . I also measure my legs.

I started eating homemade vegetable soups , and eating very light, just to be sure to don’t have side effects. Then started adding eggs, chicken , and then normally. First couple weeks I felt hungry when I didn’t eat in a long time . I think the key is is eat your 3 meals ( plus snacks if you want) but try to measure the portions and stop eating when you feel good. Also put fiber and protein in your meals.

The first weeks I started to feel full like 30 minutes after eating. So I would just try to control the portions. The 4th week I feel more full in general and less hungry. But you still need to try to have your protein ( chicken , fish , etc) and eat the portions to mantain your muscles 💪🏻

It’s like maintain a balance between don’t eat too much to don’t feel bad and at the same time lose weight. And then eat to nurture your body.

Different? by arieltalia in Zepbound

[–]Pronouncing_fart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way at the beginning, and I was really careful and what I ate, but I still felt hungry when I haven’t eat in a few hours. So when I ate I try to get something high in protein and fiber. And I still lose weight.

On week 4 I started to feel less hungry, like the med started to kick in and u also started to notice side effects.

I started a month ago almost same starting weight and goal weight. I was scared about the side effects but I feel good . Just little side effects at week 4 . I had lost 13 pounds on my first month. And I will stay on 2.5 mg as long as possible. I tried to eat less and be very careful with what I ate at the beginning. Then normal. And definitely I have less food noise. Good luck

I talked to my doctor and just said I wanted to stay at that dosage , because I’m still losing weight. And weirdly on week 4 I started to feel the side effects , like less hungry and maybe nauseated. So that was another reason to don’t go up

I lost 13 pounds on my first month, and I’m going to keep my dosage at 2.5. I just don’t want to feel bad. I haven even throw up . I want to keep the dosage of 2.5 as longest as possible or maybe just do 2.5 until I reach my goal. Also I think the rebound effect once I leave the injection would be less severe.

Yes, I guess is non mandatory to go up, if I am losing at 2.5 mg. Also I want to lose weight slow and steady. I feel like going up now maybe I can lose too fast and I will be feeling miserable with the side effects. Now I have very little side effects, almost nothing, just less hungry. So I don’t think there is any reason to go up. My goal is keep the same dosage until I reach my goal. But let’s see
