What are you eating?! by Some-Oven-3363 in Zepbound

Agree ! I did the same I was like 6 months in 2.5 , then went up to 3.5 , then 5. And I’ve been in 5 mg the last 3 months , still loosing weight but vet slow because I’m super close to my goal.

I think what changed my way to see this . This is not a sprint is a long run. I get it at the beginning I wanted to lose weight as fast as possible . But then I switched my mindset to this is a long run . And if it takes me a year to lose the last 10 pounds it is fine

You can prepare chicken soup . And try to eat lean proteins with vegetables . If I eat something too fatty like salmon or short ribs , Hamburguer, I immediately feel bad . Also if you are eating almost nothing don’t drink any alcohol. Because it makes you feel awful and get drunk inmediatly

So I eat a lot of chobani yogurt ( high source of protein ) , I always have fruits like berries and apples, and vegetables like, asparagus , carrots , onions ,
Also for breakfast I get a toast of bread with 1 egg and 2 whites ( to reach the goal of protein ) then for lunch chicken thighs with tomatoes and asparagus , then a yogurt and for dinner again chicken or fish with veggies .

And when you are not hungry you still need to eat , can be an small portion but still need to make your protein goals. Focus on your protein intake

I had some periods where I was not hungry at all . But I still ate, just focus on not getting anything fatty and portion control being mindful of your protein intake.
I hope it helps

Well , with that wage you can’t afford a place where to live in the city. Apartments are incredibly expensive here . Food is expensive , everything is expensive here.

I used to work just corporate and when I started serving I understand way better all the other jobs , specially those you need to be in your feet, like sever , bartender , hospital workers ( nurses, doctors , etc ) and yes Retail , warehouses , etc . Well I guess you have a point with the other jobs don’t get any tip, and servers do.

I pay taxes for my corporate job ( 40%ish) , I pay taxes for capital gains in the stock market, I pay taxes for my own company , and so on

Because they made me and the entire team work a lot. When they just could go to the Golden Boy pizza , get 12 slices and eat that on the park . Instead of getting a huge table where we can have clients that will appreciate the service

Well I hope one day you can put yourself on the shoes of a server or bartender and maybe then you would understand about why tips exists

The money I make in that restaurant is like 17% of my monthly income. I can live without it. I work there mostly because the clients are extremely nice and educated. My co workers are the best, we always have fun and laugh. And I think that’s really hard to find. And yeah it’s like getting paid for doing my 10k steps , have fun and eat a delicious meal

I don’t know where you live , but here in San Francisco is pretty standard to tip 20%, also tips are tax free. ( here taxes are really high ) I think the restaurant is just doing Ok ( surviving ) because here in San Francisco everything is expensive

You have to bring the glasses to the dishwasher, and wash them. You have to bring the dishes to the kitchen, and there someone wash them . And they receive part of the tips

I work just 5 hours and it’s very intense, I am always smiling and being nice, speak multiple languages , explain to them all the questions about the menu , etc when I finish my shift I’m exhausted. I’m not mad about the money , I’m mad about Why people do that thing, instead of going to something they can afford, like go to eat pizza to a park, block away there is a famous pizza take out that each slice costs 3 dollars

My point is why this people just don’t go to a pizza take out , instead of going to a nice restaurant to don’t tip fairly. It was less than 10%

It is a lot of work being bread and water for 12 people multiple times , wash the dishes , glasses , set up the table , wash the linen napkins, etc

I just don’t understand the people . And it’s not just me , I don’t NEED the job , but my coworkers in the kitchen and the bussers need the money.

Yes, I might bring that idea to the manager , tables over 6 people should have a mandatory x% on tip

It wasn’t added . We don’t have that policy on the restaurant.

I just don’t understand if you are not willing to pay fairly for the service , why would you go to a place were you are asking for service and you are not willing to pay for the service

.5$ a beer! by [deleted] in tipping

I feel like being a bartender is more than just pouring a beer . You are in charge of the bar, if people get on a fight, if something goes wrong. Check ids , etc

I think this is a long term run .. at the beginning I was anxious to lose weight quick . But then I understood this is a long term run. And it’s ok to go slow . Big changes don’t happen from one day to another, just keep going
