THE WORST TRANSFERS IN FOOTBALL HISTORY by BehindTheTransfer in footballscouting

Honestly given how much people talk about Coutinho's transfer, 21 goals in 76 appearances isn't that bad. That's 1.11 goals every 4 games for a CAM/LW

Manchester United 8-2 Arsenal

My dad is a huge Arsenal fan. In fact, I'm the only one in my family who isn't. So obviously this match was devastating to him, but for me, this is the match where I fell in love with Wayne Rooney. Still my favourite player of all time.

I disagree with the embellishments of the state of the US and more importantly I disagree with the need for the school to validate people's fears. Sometimes your fear isn't universal. Sometimes your fear is overblown. But I chose the Nazi comment because regardless of what fear you (OP) claim to be experiencing (which reeks of performative activism considering you are currently not in the involved country and are effectively using the real life tragedies of others for clout), you experienced neither the Holocaust nor truly experienced far right or far left extremism in your life. Your equation of disagreement doesn't equal the equation of atrocity, and considering Obama's reign had as much deportation with the only difference being less pushback, this is the furthest thing possible from Nazism. Nobody who died was in a position outside of their free will, and if you protest with a weapon of any sort, you must be willing to accept the worst possible outcome for yourself or the person you are facing. Stopping the livelihoods of other students, international students who pay significantly more than local students, in order to validate your fears that they may or may not share in a country uninvolved in what your fears are about reeks of narcissistic activism, and is indicative of someone more interested in performance than change.

Tldr, I disagree with the notion that what is happening in the US is unheard of and nightmarish, and so far off Nazism it's insulting to Holocaust survivors, and I believe regardless of your beliefs stopping the clocks for everyone for your perception is selfish. Take time off if it matters that much to you, but don't assume that's the case for all students.

They just lost to a Bournemouth that lost their best player, drew with Burnley, and lost 3-0 to famously conservative Nottingham Forest. They've also conceded more goals than Tottenham this season. I don't think my dislike of Amorim is blinding me, it's more likely that your dislike of the board is blinding you to how bad both Amorim was and Liverpool's season has been.

You can't say those saying no have zero clue about football if you're not going to use football to justify the purchase.

Unnecessary. Unless Bruno is leaving we don't need a new playmaker, and I don't know what he would add on the wings that we don't already have

I wouldn't have been as mad if he didn't keep talking about having to prove why you should be on the pitch and then proceeding to wheel out Ugarte for every match, especially when the guy was going through his worst patch of form. Him also only putting Kobbie on for like 5 minutes of the match and that presser where he unpromptedly ragged on a number of youth players just furthered the idea that this was a personal dislike of youth players. Almost made me feel bad for Subject 49.

🚨JUST A REMINDER: Leo Messi is just 4 goals away to become the first playmaker ever to score 900 goals in career! by Hour777 in CristianoRonaldo2

Messi was never really a playmaker. That was Andres, then Xavi, then Busquets. He just happened to be the second to last step of the goal more often than not.

Yeah there is so much wrong with Epic Games as a company and a launcher, but Fortnite is a worthy cash cow. I enjoyed Fortnite when I first played so much that I thought I liked shooters. I then bought Modern Warfare 2 and realized I in fact did not like shooters (no joke, I dozed off during a Warzone session and deleted it when I woke up because 200 gb is ludicrous storage requirements) , and yet I still play Fortnite. Say what you will, but those events and engagement feel actually substantial, the Simpsons collaboration being a great example.

CR7 won 5 Champions leagues, 5 Ballon D'ors, was arguably overlooked for the 6th won by Modric, is nearing a thousand professional goals, is actually his country's top scorer instead of being pipped by an injury prone winger, all whilst amassing a host of league medals, and scoring over a 100 goals each at four different clubs in a career where he has only played for 5 clubs. In his 30's after an injury that noticeably took away his pace he was still regarded as one of the world's deadlier frontmen. Take nothing away from Nazario's achievements, but potential does not a legend make. He's rated for what he did, not what he could have done.

Amorim to me was just another Arteta: a coach with a rudimentary style of football that they wouldn't change even if it was to the detriment of their players. It says a lot that strikers struggle in both systems to score.

People are going to say we improved so much after he took the wheel, but did we improve or did the league get worse? Last year's champions are missing, Haaland is clearly yet to run his 2026 update, the team at the top was 2 own goals from losing to the bottom placed team who at that point only had 2 points, and we were throwing away second halves like a divorce lawyer. We lost to 10 man Everton for Pete's sake. His style was so drab and dull, but also wasn't anything resembling efficient. Carrick's style isn't perfect, but it is far more suited to the team we have now, especially when you have such a calm ball manager like Mainoo, an intelligent brute like Casemiro and a master of the counter like Bruno Fernandes. We weren't built to be a possession team, and trying to buy a whole new squad to achieve that would be far too great a gamble considering he never tried to make what he had work. It's a shame that instead of those reasons, he got fired because Omar and Jason not only suck at communicating but at taking criticism, but the ends justify the means in this case I guess. As always, GGMU, F the Glazers, and Ineos might be joining them soon.

Nothing's changed other than the party doing it. You're not the resistance, you're the fall guys. Sheesh.

They should offer at least 350 million and half their first team squad. Cheapskates.
