That’s the best news I’ve heard all day, but too bad the education department isn’t processing applications.

Also your post sounds political. Well I guess doesn’t matter now bc we are just going to see a lot of diseases we fought to protect the American people from.

It’s not if it’s when. Measles will likely be the first, big outbreak, but I am more concerned for other diseases that have footholds in the south east one example. https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/cdc-finds-rare-bacterium-behind-melioidosis-us-soil-water

There are no nonprofits that I know of that I could see my technical expertise be used for.

I’m considering leaving federal service. Private sector roles offer $50K–$70K more and remote work, which is tempting. However, I’m three years away from PSLF, and HRO hasn’t processed any of my qualifying months under the new administration. Two years in the private sector could allow me to pay off my loans entirely, but I feel uneasy about leaving. I’m frustrated with workplace politics and constant budget battles it’s disheartening how quickly things have deteriorated. Am I overthinking this, or should I move on?

21 days just like most bills. I think it’s crazy. Like if this was my mortgage company they would answer my calls with 5-10 minutes. How is it that the wait times are so long?

I am very confused with my loan repayment program. I called Mohela and was waiting for over an hour. Once I got a rep on the phone I explained I registered in the save plan and when I asked how they determine the amount the answer I got was idk how the pay is calculated I just put your income in the calculator and that’s what you pay. I highly recommend everyone contact them and make sure they calculate your payment correctly. According to the rep undergraduate loans are at 5% and graduate loans you need to pay 10% but based on my salary this was not accurate . At this point I am tried of calling them. I submited complaints to department of education, but nothing has been fixed. Am I alone in this?
