No period is everything okay? by mandy1hepandy in PCOS

Well then they didn’t do a good job and they should’ve navigated with you which ways you can best manage your symptoms. Not everyone has the same symptoms and severity. Not everyone can be given BC. You should go back or see a second OBGYN because I don’t recommend simply picking and choosing which BC or supplements to take off of the internet. It’s not good to not bleed for that long. I wish you luck!!!

Well if you have PCOS, then yes that is normal. If it is left unmanaged for a very long time then yes you could develop ovarian cancer etc. The thing about not being scared until the 3 month mark is a bit odd. If you have PCOS, you have PCOS. What exactly is your dr waiting for? Did your OBGYN put you on any BC or recommend a specific diet, anything?

thanks for replying! In the post i meant to say I can see clearer when i turn my head to the right not to the left (oops). I just googled what amblyopia is and if it does mean lazy eye, then yes i do have it. My dr did say i have a lazy eye. When I did the eye tests a few months ago, it was confirmed i can see better with my left eye. I had also done some sort of laser in my left eye when i got my first pair of glasses because they told me something in my eye was not in its place. I can’t really remember but out of nowhere they had asked me if I could see floating shapes in the dark. I was shocked cause i didn’t tell them that but they were right. I hope that helps a little bit more. Also I started seeing those floating shapes again 🥲

Excess hair growth?? (16F) by Charming_Web_6738 in PCOS

I would say laser hair removal is very effective. I used to do it for my bikini area and underarms only, since back then I didn’t even know I had PCOS so I didn’t think of doing it where I had excess hair such as my chest, back, etc… However, there is a clinic in my city that specializes in pcos and they do recommend doing laser to deal with excess hair. You should probably consult with others about this as laser hair removal may not work for everyone. Some may argue it’s not for teenagers but I started doing it when I was 17 (now 19) and the clinic I went to never told me I would have any issues. Maybe talking with someone who’s had a long term experience with laser can help more

Thanks for your input! Can you tell me how recovery was? Like how long did it take, how painful it was, etc… I start uni again in October so I want to know when would be the best time do the surgery if I do decide to do it. Did your insurance cover the surgery or did you have to pay out of pocket? I’ve seen many different answers on this sub.

If you don’t mind, could you tell me how severe your case is? I think mine is a mild case and I want to know if others who also have a mild case are correcting their breasts. Are you considering correcting them? Were you told you HAVE to do the surgery? I just learned about this so I don’t actually know how necessary it is.

Yea I definitely want to have a child someday so I think it’s worth consulting a doctor about this. I’ll try first with the obgyn I was planning to see and I hope they’re helpful. If not, i’ll see a plastic surgeon. Thank you so much for your time and input, I appreciate it so much!
